You would rather have the Scientologist-apologizer and serial money-grabber Bass? Caruso is the better choice here. Bass is the prototypical LA politician who’s into as many pockets as she can be.

The author lives in a plastic bubble.. probably is allergic to peanut butter too.
Yeah, that company isn’t great, but the argument that this is polluting the night sky... in NY.. is freeking silly.
Way to miss the point. Something like this is fine for events, New Year’s etc. and is way less harmful to the environment (and less dangerous) than fireworks.
Oh boo hoo!! Man, people will cry about anything. And WTF, who is doing star gazing in NY city? There’s so much light pollution there already, no one is watching stars. Yes, this should not be a daily occurrence, but this certainly is not the end of the world.
Honest question.. how much do you spend on a bar tab, or going out over the weekend, or streaming services?
While everyone will like to slam on these players, is it really any different that someone who spends $150 a week on their bar tab?
Yeah, a year ago I would have had the Timberline if not for $10k markups.. or I’d have a Telluride soon if not for $22k markups. (The markups really hurt out here in CA, as I’d be paying 10% sales tax on the markup!)
Pilot or Passport, both with god-aweful captain’s chair armrests, tech from 5 years ago, and yes, damn ugly.
You mean the Ridgeline with 2 full inches less of ground clearance than the Telluride? Or the Passport where you pay $2k for a sticker package that proclaims how you’re headed offroad?
Zach, so you basically want a one-time purchase on a CD, and if your rig no longer has a CD drive, too bad? Also, Activision would love this, they’d never have to patch the game..
It varies a lot. Use of apps like OpenTable is more common, especially for smaller places with limited seating. But most chains are still “show up”, even in large cities.
Sounds like Myst, Giger edition.
They need to finish the other ordinances banning pedestrians to ensure they as well do not harm drunk drivers.
In other news.. I’m an old guy, and this commercial did nothing but to ensure I’ll never play the game. Their target demographic is.. not my demographic.
I would go buy a new Telluride today if I could get one at MSRP. But I can’t, and nor can I get a Sportage, or Bronco or several others.
Can we get rid of EVpurists too?
I bought a 3080ti about a month ago for ~$950 when the prices dropped, and I’m glad I did. Looking at the new cards, while they might have theoretically better performance, I’d need to buy a new monitor to see the benefits, and also buy a new PSU. So I’m good for another 3 years and then do a full system update.
It depends on the card, and what it was being used for. There’s info from some of the good youtubers that will provide some direction on what’s fairly safe, and what to stay away from.
You won’t see the 3080 that cheap. Nvidia’s sentient leather jacket wants to jack up the prices again.
