A semi tractor gets between 6 and 9 mpg depending on conditions. A 1 ton diesel pulling a trailer like the one pictured will get around 14.

I like the other explanation better. You were going 90 in a campsite just admit it already.
Right now, Cadillac does not make a single segment best vehicle. The Navigator is far and away a better vehicle than the Escalade, which is the only vehicle the brand can point to as a real success. Sad, really. I don’t know why GM can’t figure out luxury interiors better than the Germans. And don’t get me started on…
YES! THIS! Tesla interiors remind me a lot of Acura, or maybe just a high trim level Accord.
The median household income in the United States is just a hair under $60,000 and the average new car transaction price is over $32,000. $60,000 households have no business buying $35,000 cars and should not even think about buying $55,000 cars. My point is that people have been over extending themselves on cars for…
The author almost paints China as the victim here... which would be way, way off base if that was her intention. Peaking carbon emissions eleven years from now?! How about they stop being shitbirds, and do things the right way right now?
BELIEVE ME, you absolutely do not want this. We have 100% public power in Nebraska and I’m here to tell you that it is not what you want. I like the idea of public power, I really do. Statewide, the price per kilowatt hour is not bad, but it’s everything else that is an incredible mess. The additional fees and taxes…
I find it odd that Tesla is blaming their price increase of Chinese-market vehicles on the trade war. Because they can’t seem to operate in the black, even though they’re so many years and units into production, I think a certain amount of logic dictates that their prices are too low across the board. Just a thought.
Standard Jalop response.
Oh man look this awesome car that checks all of the boxes that I claim to want and would buy in a heartbeat if it existed. Oh, wait... It doesn’t have this one specific feature? Dang, won’t have to put my money where my mouth has been all this time.
Right, but the WRX is absolute crap. The WRX can’t make the switch to the new impreza platform soon enough.
I’m actually commenting here in hopes that someone helps diagnose my problem.
‘08 E550 4matic with 4 zone climate control.
With the A/C on, the rear seat vents blow cold for 10 minutes after starting the car. Then they go full hot so I close them. And the driver side front vents don’t blow as much air volume as the…
Regarding extended “warranty” coverage:
It’s not hideous.
Wait until you have sleeping kids in the back seat.
This is stupid policy. Most new cars shut off at stoplights, making this less and less of a problem as time goes on and more vehicles become hybrid or electric. Furthermore, whomever thought of this notion of just waltzing into every business I need to patronize, has never had two sleeping children in rear facing car…
Only time will tell if VW and GM’s chosen electrification strategy is a good one. I for one, like Mercedes’s strategy with 48 volt systems on inline 6 engines. I think that’s a terrific way to improve power and efficiency, and you don’t even need a big battery.
Yes, I have seriously considered picking up a used Volt or i3 (with range extender). You can get a great car for under $15,000.
My boss has has an $11,000 shotgun. Yes, there’s gold inlays on the stock.
When you figure out the answer, please CC Bill DeBlasio on the memo.
This is incorrect, here’s why:
The market for this vehicle is defined as the market for a $93k drag strip weapon that is street legal. If all 3,000 U.S. cars were priced at MSRP, they would have all sold very quickly. In fact, I’ll go out on a limb and say that FCA could have sold 5,000+ if they tightly controlled…
