I agree with Wolfpack86 that Subarus are under powered (2.4L turbo not withstanding) but I don’t mind CVT’s in daily driving. Honda has a great CVT.

It’s fair that one of Chevrolet’s pickup motors beats one of Ford’s in one way or another. Chevy’s 2.7 is absolute crap and the 5.3 is hampered by the worst transmission programming in the segment. To be transparent, I have not driven the 6.2 and cannot attest to its inferiority in comparison to Ford’s 3.5 ecoboost.
