I submitted one of my experiences from growing up in a haunted house last year (“Charlotte”), and this year I have my friend’s blessing to submit his, arguably creepier, experience (as long as I changed his name.)

That several of these are actually intentionally scary was my first thought, as well. "The Witches," "The Never-Ending Story," and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" were all intentionally scary books, I believe, so it fits that their adaptations were, as well.
Like others who have replied to you, I think you are brave for posting this. I am so sorry this happened to you. I agree with belle986 who suggested you contact RAINN. Good luck, and I hope you know how strong you are!
I am quite confident that AVON would be pleased to have drag queens as clients. Suck it, Mary Kay.
Well, I guess I'll be re-reading "Light a Penny Candle" and "Quentin's" this week. Thanks for the stories, Maeve!
I'm so sick of people feeling the need to judge how another person mothers. I'm more sick of these fucking "mommy wars." The diviseness furthers nothing and benefits no one.
As soon as I had baby nearsighted, I was bombarded by, "When's the next one? You have to have another! So he won't be lonely!"
My thought, too!
Nothing? Or $46K/month?
I was going to say wish in one hand and shit in the other, and see which fills faster. However yours is nicer. And, agreed with alimony law reform.
I, too, had my boobs out for a while after having baby nearsighted last year. However, despite trying everything (and I mean...everything) to get him to nurse, I ended up pumping round teh clock. I cut holes in a maternity tank top so I could double pump and be hands-free. My MIL saw more of my breasts than I'd ever…
Yes. I have DD/E (need to get re-measured soon), and unless I'm completely covered, some of the ladies are going to show. I have to wear camisoles under tops smaller women can wear normally. If I wear boxy shirts, I look big all over.
Christian Bale won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for "The Fighter," but Hawkes was great in "Winter's Bone."
Yeah, she's a sweetheart. Recently, she made my infant son babble to her whilst we spent the night. He was all ready for bed, then suddenly, he sat up and started to talking to someone I couldn't see. I wish I could get her for daycare!
It was definitely scary when Charlotte showed up (via hair fondling and actually seeing her.) However, years later, when I felt the same air pressure for the first time in a long time, it was Thanksgiving night a few years back. As strange as may seem, it kind of felt like an old family member or friend returned. I…
Since energy only begets different sorts of energy, I think that "hauntings" may be relative. For example, "Charlotte" didn't die a tragic death. However, she was a doctor at a time when many women weren't doctors, and she cared for a great deal of people in her home. Some died; some didn't. She also didn't have…
I agree! That was definitely an unnerving story!
Yeah, you win for sure!
When I was 8, my family moved into an old Colonial that was built in 1810. My father still lives there. Until I was 17, every before I feel asleep, I would feel pressure next to me as if someone sat down on the bed next to me. This would always be accompanied with a feeling of increased pressure in the air. Although I…
Ah, I stand corrected!
