There was nothing messy about The World's End. It's one of the most solidly written and put together comedies in recent years. Structure wise its a brick shithouse.

Me too. I think its the best thing they've done together. The World's End is massively underappreciated. Its their most sub-textually and stylistically rich film.

Letterman did it years before The Simpsons.

Thanks sincerely for the metric conversions, but just for future ref you can go ahead and convert '2 cups' as '500mls' or indeed '2 cups'. Ain't no one measuring out 480mls.

Live fade out. As opposed to a tape fade out.

So, um, Carrie & Debbie : OG Gilmore Girls, yeah?

Richard Kind didn't become well known until the 90's with the hit NBC sitcom "Mad About You" but that didn't stop him from kicking me in the balls.

Clearly he shouldn't have touched the Man of Steel as he obviously hates Superman as a character.

Quite frankly, I loved this movie. And it was beautifully shot.

Actually 'technically" OFF or OFF OF in not correct. The word "base" implies something on which a thing or things stands. When we say a movie or a story is based on another work or, say, true events we mean it is the basis or foundation of the new work. Alternatively when we say a thing is "off base" we mean that it

"The Disaster Artist is based off of the memoir of the same name"

"Mel is a delightful person and a wonderful director, and a total joy to
work with, as I’m sure you can imagine. And to get a call from him to go
to work with him was one of the highlights of my career."

I think you may be unclear as to the role of an assistant director.
