Absolutely BRILLIANT. I got to see this exhibit, too, and it was marvelous. I had no idea that this movie was almost ruined by Mel Gibson, and almost “graced” by Prince (who, I guess, was a very different animal back then, but still).

I’ve long said that with enough Arduinos and debug time, I could replace the entire system with off the shelf parts that’ll cost $10 each in the next Sandy - $20 if we go with brand name Arduino parts. :P

Sadly, Challenger should still be flying (if the O-ring problems and the cold launch hadn’t been done - both were known problems), and Columbia should’ve been used as a lifeboat until we could’ve sent something up to bring the astronauts back safely. Maybe Columbia could’ve even been repaired in space and flown back

“will create a job...” ...in China.

I wonder what the security plans look like. After all, take out enough substructure to let one of those skyscrapers fall an inch on one side, and inertia will do the rest. I’d be particularly worried about this whole thing myself. Hopefully worried over nothing.

I’d point out that the best hackers aren’t usually even college educated, so, while it’s nice to dump on whitie, it does kind of make you look like an idiot when you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about.

You have no idea how insanely jealous I am. I initially went to college for meteorology but switched to computer information because of the math requirements (high level math and I didn’t agree). I’d hoped to work for NSSL one day (though I’d have been happy being Jim Cantore’s understudy, too, lol).

...supports data transfer? Somehow, I’m left feeling very dubious about this. Charging only, I might buy. Data too? Hrmm...

I require instructions and a full parts list. :D

This is just so sad, and so stupid.

I guess you’ve never seen what a “medium sized bird” can do to a turbine engine or a rotor blade, eh?

Policy is usually to punch out in any such circumstance, because the plane can easily explode/be engulfed in flames/roll/crash into something else on the ground. Neat video though.

lol Apple Watch. Suckers fell for the hype and the “OMG IT HAS AN APPLE LOGO” business.

I’ve been beaten to it, but hey, I’m also totally game to be a test subject. :D

I work for a major university in the IT Security department, and this is one of our biggest issues of copyright infringement. User accounts being hijacked for access to paid journal access.

If I was already sneaking in there (it doesn’t say immediately if he snuck in), I’d certainly be jacking a few “mementos,” too. If there was any serious chance they’d be restored and put in a museum, obviously I wouldn’t, but if, as is likely, they’re going to be left to the same fate as the Buran that made the

I love the An-225 Mriya, too. Such a gorgeous plane.

“I’ve honestly started to believe that in certain parts of America now, people have started to mate with vegetables.”

So it’ll really be a blast when it makes it to the Falklands, then, eh?
