As a fan my vote would be to shutter the LMP1 class and elevate the DPi class above the LMP2 class. LMP-Pro and LMP-AM. Much cheaper manufacturer involvement and more cars in the top class competing for the overall victory would make the event more entertaining.

I think when you add in all the factory backing in GTE-Pro I’d still give the nod to GTE.

GTE-Pro is more prestigious than LMP2 (which is a class that requires an amateur driver). LMP1 is a different discussion.
