Saw the Opel logo already proposed on the Formula Money Storey that broke the news.

I have heard that Storey did things the way he did to bait Haas into removing the branding so they would be in breach of contract allowing Storey to really terminate the deal.  I normally leave my tinfoil hat at home, but I’m willing to put one on for this one.  Nothing about this would surprise me any more.

Season 25 was better than the past 10+ seasons of the old trio.  Season 26 was largely forgettable.  Chris Harris is very good at this.  I will miss Rory and Matt.  Especially the tractors.

Roll is so much better at story telling than he is broadcasting and he’s good at broadcasting.  Did a charity ride where Bob was the guest speaker.  Oh my goodness he had the entire room in tears from laughing so hard.

The tour is NEVER ever like this.  The breakaway survives maybe once a tour.  This year there have effectively been 3 or 4.  A non-sprinter has won sprint stages with a sprint finish more than once.  Hilly stages have produced actual attacks as well.  The tour is never ever like this.  Enjoy it we may never see one…

The reason I discount clay is probably a bit of a personal bias towards it. It just seems like an outlier of a surface. Baseball has turf, grass, and now “field turf.” They’re all somewhat similar. While not this extreme I almost look at clay like playing baseball on ice instead of grass.

Novak always came across as not being fan friendly at all.  In fact quite the opposite when he first started winning.  If you want fans to cheer for you you need them to like you not loathe you.
