So the alternative is that their system is so bad they don’t want it to be public knowledge. Sounds like that would also make it way more likely that they’d lose in court.

Now that is quite a bit of a green house. I can just imagine how hot it will make while driving and in particular while stopped. I guess things like these only stop at dedicated camping sites where power is available?
Settling is an admission you think you’d lose.
Careful what you wish for. What’s worse than a part time Musk? A full time Musk.
It doesn’t matter. It was still a time when Elon lied extremely much about the car driving itself.
Well, considering Tesla does not have a PR department (Elon fired them) and his auto reply is a poo emoji, this is as good as it gets.
I would like to know if it would be okay on a gravel/fire road, and how the clearance feels when going up/down a kerb (curb, for you Americans)? Is it okay for that?
That was just a waste. We had electric cars on the frigging moon in 1971. actual, working 4x4 vehicles carrying people. So no, he was a waste of space way, way before that.
For one: They won’t be allowed to be used in the EU unless Tesla can show they’re safe. And even then, it would probably be at most a pilot project in some specific (i.e. few) cities/towns.
Musk, back in April 2019 promised “1 million robotaxis”. “Next year”.
Musk fails upward. He is such an idiot.
You took the words right out of my mouth.
A fully electric vehicle will always have weight added that is the battery weight plus a bit compared to its (fully) ICE counter. If you install, say, a quarter of the battery capacity than in a pure EV vehicle, you will come out lighter than an EV, and that will give you plenty of electric range for most things. You…
Well, I’ve met people who say they’re better. I can (still) drive a manual - even legally, despite my prosthetics, just to clarify.
LOL, I knew it would get people going on here. That’s partly why I posted it. I actually think it is one of the most asinine and stupid claims about cars ever, though.
You’re talking about the shifting solely. And there is no way you can shift faster than a modern fast automatic.
It was 2018, a time where Elon pushed the FSD even harder than now. So of course some people might not have been fully attentative.
But no range anxiety, smaller battery = less weight, which all translates to more fun and less tyre wear (and less road wear).
As an amputee (below-the-knee left side), I prefer automatics. But I actually don’t find rowing gears particularly fun even before my amputation. It’s just not worth it 99.999 percent of the time where an automatic is better in every way.
Earlier this year, the FAA capped Boeing’s output at 38 planes per month
