Scott Adams (of Dilbert fame) is big on systems vs. goals. Why he called his book “How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big” instead of the decidedly more succinct “Systems vs. Goals” is beyond me. But supposedly, this is exactly what it’s about. Great article; I didn’t feel like reading the book anyway :)

Forget sugar, drink a tablespoon of vinegar.

Sort of. I actually concentrate on not hiccuping, but yeah, the point is controlling that muscle spasm.

Wow, you just reminded me of that Jimmy Carr special on Netflix. So wrong, and yet...

Related to the calorie counters, you can really inflate your treadmill calorie count by walking “uphill” while hanging onto the handlebar.

I’ve never had trouble knowing whether an app will have ads. If it’s free and good (and not Duolingo—love ya, Duolingo!), there will be ads.

Bad news: You’re reading a Lifehacker article on the topic, so you’re probably not the problem. I mean, good news for your ego, not so good if you’re hoping “those people” are all nodding in agreement and making a mental note.
