I watched the first two but haven't watched the newest one yet. I want to love it, but some of the characters/acting are weak (the American wife, oh god, the American wife). Also, a lot of the behavior is unreasonable / seems to have no real motivation. The upside of that is that it makes the plot really interesting,

But why would elainepsmith need to go on Jeopardy? She already makes $1200 a week just using google from her own computer.

Well, they're certainly caught in a landslide.

The more Federer/Nadal/Serena/Maria lose to inferior players on off days, the more the inferior players believe it's possible. Just part of getting older / injured / whatever. Good for Kyrgios.

Kid is funny, too—tweeted this morning something like "We have 14 grand slams between us, so it should be a pretty good

Yup, came to the comments to say the same thing. I say losing the final in a shootout makes them incumbents as far as the discussion about worst champion goes. They were one or two Trezeguets from it. God dammit France.

Hahah, yes, god he's so salty. But I will say in his defense that I have never liked soccer as much as watching France in 2006, and his navy-lined blazer was also quite cool that year.

Most of those things are true for tennis, too, as long as the kids don't worry too much about the scoring. Now's the perfect time (Wimbledon, then all the American tournaments).

I've managed to avoid reading the tributes because I was busy, but god damnit, I couldn't avoid this one. This was amazing, and it crushed me. Thank you. RIP Tony.

I know. It doesn't really fit Drew's question because Domenech isn't a sportswriter, but I read it in Le Monde the other day and it just seemed so perfect. "Parfois, je me pose la question." = Does he just sit around all day thinking about things that the team has done since 2010 hoping that there's something worse

I would gladly ingest an extra yard of snot each day in exchange for seeing the Cardinals get moved from St. Louis.

Raymond Domenech (ex-coach of France) said the other day that France beating Ukraine in the World Cup qualifying match is maybe responsible for the Maidan and secession crises that have been happening since.

For a city that talks about beer and soccer so much, how much damn explaining does a World Cup beer garden need? Jesus, the exposition was painful.

Not the best, but I can see it pretty well. Not as bad as their tennis scoreboard on small TVs.

Good read—I felt helpless and frustrated just reading about the guards' attitudes toward tennis, especially because the rest of the country views tennis more like San Quentin than Groveland. The average person (including low income), in my experience, just doesn't see it as a thing you can play only if you are more

PREACH

Too little.

é (the one in Vegas) is much more expensive than Minibar (assuming Minibar is around $100) (which someone below has said is not the case) (so yeah).

Haven't seen MM yet but he was solid in Side Effects. The role didn't ask much of him, I guess, but his presence didn't throw off a movie with other very, very good actors.

Such an overlooked comment.

Agree with both of you... it was just so much smarter and less recycled-jokey than I expected it to be. Kills me errtime.
