When all this is over and the dust settles (inshallah) every person who has held office as a Republican after 1994 (maybe even 1968 if it’s in the budget) needs to have his/her name engraved on a granite wall, six inches high and six inches deep, under a heading of “Enemies of the Republic.”

I can understand insisting on credentials before letting someone treat a passenger--the planet is inhabited by every manner of holiday nutjob and a flight attendant will have encountered nearly all of them--but leaping to the conclusion that black woman claiming to be doctor = poseur? Uffda. They oughta give her a

    He gone.

Because Trump? Man, I dunno, I just work here, and I barely do that.

“If Billy had been passive or responded ‘Shut the f— up’ to Trump, Billy would have been out of a job the next day.”

Having been one for a long (though mercifully now-elapsed) time, it ain’t that wonderful, lemme tell ya.

He has a jillion kabillion Trumpbux. In actual U.S. currency, it seems he’s a dozenaire at best.

Looking at her, I can say for certain that I would not force my face into hers.

No, calling someone disgusting isn’t defamation; it’s opinion.

Disagree. Vanna has to wear heels and look like that into her 60s (she’s 59 now), which is no mean feat.

Well, I used to have Trump as the “Worst Person In America (Non-Rapist/Murderer Division)” but damn if he isn’t hellbent on making the big leagues.

First and last comment on this whole sordid affair:

That is some irresponsible/incompetent billing right there. They can refuse a refund and instead apply credit balances to any other accounts you may have open, but they can’t just leave it forever. Obviously they can’t send fresh debt to collections, either (it’s not even in their interest to do so). Call ‘em and

Never said that there would never be a claim for the baby; there always will be, in point of fact. Whether or not the baby’s claim is actually reimbursable depends on sick baby vs. well baby and/or the terms of the insurance contract.

    Medical billing is weird.

That is not remotely how deductibles work and they should not let that slide. If you have insurance, even if the charges are less than your deductible and the insurance company wouldn’t actually pay anything, if you’re in-network the provider must offer you the insurance contract rate, to wit:

For practical purposes, it is; notice that over 80% of the total charges were adjusted off due to the insurance contract. For resource management and assorted other accounting reasons, though, everything in a hospital service is parceled out piecemeal at first and then bundled up for pricing in the final analysis.

My favorite birth billing story is my SIL/BIL. With my niece, they’d met their deductible for the year, so the hospital billed the entire procedure to the new baby and refused any negotiation on the matter.

The more I see of Trump, the more I think he is actually the worst person in America (non-murderer category). I would not buy a bagel from that man.
