In two days.
In two days.
I saw it; I don’t think it was intentional but I do think it was reckless/incompetent. If you hit a guy square in the head, intentionally or not, routine comeuppance is the best you can hope for. Take your base and call it a day.
Maddon is full of 100% Certifed Angus bullshit. His guy hit Holliday square in the ear with a fastball, and then his team got the benefit of bench warnings (foreclosing any consequence-free brushbacks of any kind). Then Rizzo, who gets hit more than anybody else because he stands on top of the fucking plate in every…
Congress has to pass a budget. In this case, the House passed a budget with a ban on funding to Planned Parenthood in it, knowing that the Senate will not pass that budget and that even if it did, the president would veto it. If there’s no budget act that actually passes by the end of the fiscal year (September 30,…
Lynn DID have a bad day, but let’s be honest, so did Bellino:
Clearly you have not seen Carlos Martinez play, run the dugout between starts, or tweet.
Pace of play rules are more what you’d call guidelines, enforced by off-field warnings and fines, if at all. “Don’t intentionally throw at a batter” is a rule.
Also, I hope everyone from the three teachers who panicked, to the administration, to the school board, to the cops, to the mayor, gets named in a federal civil rights complaint and reduced to a little pile of racist dust.
When I was a misfit freshman in high-school, some nosy classmate (this was before 9/11 but after Columbine) poked through my notebook and decided that my idle video-game based doodles were, in fact, bomb plans and dimed me out to the administration. You’ll never believe what happened!
The point of it is to keep diplomats from being hostages of their host countries, which they effectively would be if subject to their laws. Remember, just because we require evidence and due process and so forth (kinda) doesn’t mean everybody does, so rather than deal with “you arrested our diplomat for speeding, so…
Immune or no, the U.S. can export his ass back to its original manufacturer without due process, so this kid better hope his joyride was worth a permanent ban from this country (and probably a few others if he abuses his immunity like that).
Soooooo... that was an ejection, right?
Yeah, the 33-yard PAT is pretty fuckin’ stupid. “Hey everybody! PATs are too automatic at a 99.9% hit rate, so let’s pare it back to a 33-yard kick with a 99.89% hit rate! Progress”
Go nuts.
I think they more had in mind the idea that they’d recover the surprise onside kick, and then be able to win outright with a FG on the only actual possession of OT. Not un-dumb but not AS dumb as it would be without the stupid-ass quasi-sudden-death OT rule.
It wasn’t replayed at all (and it can’t be)—the officials just put their heads together and got the nature of the kick right—but, like anything else, if the officials convene and decide that all the elements of a foul were present, they can penalize it any time before restarting play. Mostly you see this on…
Stripes only partially managed to unfuck themselves at the start of OT; they were correct that it was a valid fair catch (which, y’know, good self-criticism there, guys)... and then completely failed to penalize dogpiling a player who had called and made a fair catch. Luckily the ‘hawks didn’t end up getting more than…
Poor soldier, having to attend a Rams game. Hasn’t he sacrificed enough?
Not my beliefs, but the “correct” answer to “what if Hitler repented?” as I’ve read it:
evidently when you die there is a question and answer portion and to some people, there is just the one right answer.
