Right? Even white or sweet onions, sautéed in oil and cooked with a bit of vinegar, are completely delicious just by themselves.

Sweet! I encourage you to do that! I can only imagine how many distractions are clamoring for your attention at any time. My love of Abnett’s works started with Gaunt’s Ghosts, but Eisenhorn (I read the omnibus version) is superior to any of the GG novels. Ravenor (again, the omnibus edition) is superior to Eisenhorn

The good news is that the source material, “Eisenhorn” by Dan Abnett, is fantastic.

A couple of big ones that I’m surprised to not see here: Destiny: Rise of Iron, on September 20 and Civilization 6 on October 21!

Something is out of place on that character model. It’s like voluptuous breasts on a man. This could be because I’m used to seeing hyper-sexualized/stylized female characters... but the whole body model just looks male, except for the breasts.

Yeah, okay. Whatever. This game has been out for what, just over two months?

Y’know, there are other options, like this one: https://amzn.com/B00PJWDM5Y, which is $4-10 cheaper than the Antec and Vanksy lights on a regular basis. I bought one. It works, exactly as intended. I am very thankful for lifehacker’s article on bias lighting, and I’ve already seen a difference in my ability to watch

Hey, that’s fair enough. Thank you too for being pleasant!

On the other hand, no real need to be a gatekeeper about it. I had no idea what it was, and far from needing to comment on any reaction to ASMR, I am pleased and intrigued to read and learn about something else new.

That, and with the completely asinine lack of explanation about where everybody’s grandparents are. Neville Longbottom is the only character whose grandmother is directly referenced (and makes an appearance). Sirius mentions James’ parents, and Lily & Petunia’s parents are mentioned as a family, but never do the

Every time you approach somebody for combat, you must first listen to them spout their patrilineal descent?

I think it’s really cool that all of the female characters in these drawings look like people with things to do / getting things done, rather than oversexualized objects

Haha, your Rise of the Tomb Raider blurb sounds like you’re describing Minecraft!

Haha! As the commenter above noted, I cannot tell if your apostrophe of “plural’s” was meant to be ironic. If not, this is a great case of Muphry’s Law: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muphry%27….

Your sentence should be “Specifically, plurals do not have apostrophes.”

F:NV has fantastic DLC. The base game is rather meh.

Patrick - FYI post edit for “Not all flasks are equal” section: the sentence reads as “...four estus flasks and two ashen flasks or two ashen flasks and four estus flasks.”

And how many hours have you put into playing Kotaku?

Master of Orion 2. Can’t stop.

Most of L.E. Modesitt Jr.’s older sci-fi standalones do this: “Flash,” “The Octagonal Raven,” “Gravity Dreams.” Newer stuff too, like “The One-Eyed Man.” “The Parafaith War” might, but I don’t remember.
