I don’t think it’s against her character arc at all. This is Game of Thrones. It wouldn’t fit the spirit of the book series/show to have a happy ending on all fronts. If anything the book has shown that the morally righteous people (like Jon) are naive and eventually end up dead.

This is why I laugh when “centrists” and “independents” write articles saying we’ve got to actually talk to Trump voters to understand them. If you watch Fox and buy into crap like this, you’re beyond having a rational conversation with.
