As a person who works in the animation industry, I just want to say I love these kinds articles. There is a wonderful creative culture of people who love and enjoy animation (of any kind). There is also a culture on the studio side that rarely gets heard. There are so many rich stories from salty industry vets, who

In the golden age of kids afternoon cartoons, Animation was done by studios in house by animators with some level of training.
As the years went by, productions became more and more expensive, so studios began to out source the animation part of production.
