I do remember a little old lady who couldn’t have been more than 5' tall or any younger than 75, who I used to regularly see winding a Hummer H2 up a narrow West London road. She could barely see over the dash and this was a road full of traffic calming measures and even a width restriction.
Not sure about that at all but know ten years later a lot of horns migrated to stalks as airbags became the norm.
