I loved BG/BG2/IWD but man, PS:T really stuck. I didn’t even like the setting that much, especially visually, but the game and the characters were just so good

I’ve adobted a hybrid of the model Jerykk suggests, and a “support the devs” model.
Sometimes I’ll buy a game I think looks really cool or does something novel well, but I know I wont play soon or maybe ever - to support the team behind the game. This is mainly for indie games.

You’re not wrong. It is a lot easier to just get the Steam version too though, and I’ve considered doing the same since I don’t mind supporting them twice for a game this good anyway.
