That truly sucks. I hope for a speedy recovery, and that they can make ends meet in this difficult time.

Yeah I’m definitely not going to try out this game, when that’s their idea of fair dealing.

Good stuff.

Before: “xQc? Distateful human putting out trash tier content. There are a lot of those.

I’ve seen multiple mellow reaction videos about how healthcare or schooling works in specific countries, and starting a debate about merits and flaws between different systems with their chat, or nuclear physicists watching an information piece another creator has done on nuclear power, or a lawyer reacting to some

The type of hypothetical people you talk about is a person who is exposed to a particular game without knowing anything about gaming (so they’re not exposed to games regularly) but also see only a video of a modded game rather than mass media ads, and make up their mind about it from that indie video - and they would

“We don’t want to spend money on this” is corp speak translation for “I hate this”.

That said, the article never implied they said mods were the devil. The headline and byline is:
“Capcom: PC Game Mods Are ‘No Different’ Than Cheating”
The Resident Evil and Monster Hunter publisher isn’t against modding, but does have

Capcom goes on to say that some mods with offensive content can be “detrimental” to a game or franchise’s reputation. The publisher also explained that mods can create new bugs and lead to more players needing support, stretching resources, and leading to increased game development costs or even delays.

LITERALLY.STOP.YOU.AND.HAVE.MINUTE.PLUS. conversations over... how to push a button to climb a ladder. When compared to modern game design best practices, the Metal Gear series habitually does the exact opposite. So it’s often mystifying to me that people haven’t gone back and re-evaluated their stance on MGS.

I think CliffyB needs a bit of a reboot these days. More than Gears does.

There are also TONS of mods that don’t make the games any easier, or just fix horrendous UI decisions or straight bugs.
See all the survival mods etc. that comes out for Bethesda games, or numerous cosmetic mods that don’t mean a damned fucking thing.

Tell me you’re incompetent without telling me you’re incompetent.

Same. But honestly that’s the same for me with all the AC games. If they’d just remove the AC, they’d be great! Get rid of that stupid machine, future and meta plot, and just let us have those grand realised historical settings to go wild in. AC is best when the AC can be completely forgotten.

100% It’s like they got stuck making a Fallout game and just decided to paint it over. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Fallout, but I’d hoped Starfield would be more optimistic and feel less post apocalyptic.
TNG this ain’t, that’s for sure.

Well, I still hate the main story (not that I expected that to change) but luckily the world and all the little missions packed in there around it are great. I love doing gigs and just exploring the city. As long as I can avoid talking to Johnny Silverhand I’m good.

It is only *clothes* and pets though (pets which I don’t recommend specifically going for btw. - it’s the worst implementation of pets ever). It’s not blanket “cosmetics”.
I feel like Palia is extremely generous in what it gives us, all other cosmetics (for building/decorating house) is in-game currency/unlock only,

Honestly no, this doesn’t ooze Disney. It oozes Gameloft.
All of their games I’ve tried were choked to death with mtx and other scummy monetisation practices. It’s one of the reasons I didn’t buy it. I wanted to see how they fared after going live first, whether they’d revert to their good ol’ practices.
Seems I dodged

Don’t invest yourself in Nintendo properties in any way. Don’t be a fan, don’t connect with others around their IP.

I can’t believe it’s not butter.

My half-elfs high cheekbones WILL keep me from getting killed - they’re just adding to my already very high charisma.
