Wow, by that way of calculating I earn great money by American standards with my pretty average fixed 37h/week job, even though my tax cut is 35% - simply because “healthcare” is a public thing here, pension is not counted part of that pay, and we have 6 weeks vacation.
So my ~$54k before tax/$35k after is really more

Min/maxers are a player type; their fun is no less valid than others’. And like you said, at least here it doesn’t clash with other player/DM styles.

I’ve seen it repeated a lot that public companies must maximise profits for shareholders by law, but that isn’t the case.
It’s a mantra that many corporations have taken to heart since the 70's, but not law. They choose to, because often CEO and board members are major stake holders. They are lining their own pockets

I’ve had a similar time with it, and I play once a week with a friend now, as we’re going through the story together. Other than that, it’s taken a backseat to other games.

100% this. The gem goes away at the end of the season, so it has less of an impact if they don’t do anything about it.

Seasonal items is a real issue. It’s like the inventory wasn’t tuned for them. Absolutely a tab for them would be helpful.
But in general the biggest loot/inventory issue is the 357 different types of damage increase that needlessly make item comparison a much more slow and arduous task, so every trip to town is a lot

What restrictions do you have in mind? I love both games (though admittedly it’s been a while since playing DoS2 and have a hard time not feeling that they’re so similar it doesn’t matter.
I’m curious about the ways in which you feel restricted in comparison.

That debate belongs in the VHS/CD era anyway. I feel like today, streaming with multiple audio tracks and sub options, the discussion is entirely moot. Now it’s solely a question of “can the company backroling it afford dubs”. People can choose what settings they want to watch it on themselves.

Yeah that’s great. Until some idiot goes and names himself something as generic as “Dream” and you have to filter a lot of tweets that have nothing to do with him because his fans are insufferable >:|
In general, I’m pretty happy to have my Twitter days behind me now.

Missing the first thing you should know before starting a new game:

If you ever intend to play that game/character with friends, they must join the game *during character creation* and make their characters as the same time as you.
They cannot join the game with custom characters later, they can only use the pre-made

I have no skin in the console game. I have no console, I have a pc and got an Xbox controller with my Oculus so I use that - my girlfriend has a PS4.
But she has 3 PS controllers, and they are constantly running out of juice. She NEEDS 2-3 to keep them charged so she always has one she can use.
Meanwhile, my Xbox

Are there a lot of people who are D:OS fans, and who’re not excited for BG3 and not gonna play this like it was another D:OS anyway?

That was it, thanks! I remembered the content when I read this article, but not who it was by (I listened to it while driving)

Also, Sea of Stars is out in less than a month 🥳

Yeah I get it, generations change and IP need to be protected and all that, but man... I can sort of stomach the other characters, but I will never be a fan of that weird-ass mono-eye Donald.

Ah I see, thanks. I don’t see his sound in the library, but he could have retracted it later I suppose.

I was wondering about exactly that. He could easily argue that he didn’t mind endorsing other products that had used it, but objected to Crash or Activision for whatever reason.
And if the commercial license on TikTok does in fact require permission still, the case doesn’t seem so cut and dry.

Mr. House also doesn’t have a fragile ego and doesn’t hinge his plans, views and actions on whatever people like him that week, and what those people want to hear.

A lot of it is just trash stats that lower the chance of getting useful gear, which I’m sure is one of the ideas behind it.

Still works as of this timestamp.
