Right. And the bigger the investment gets RIGHT before a specific event driven upswing, the less it looks like an accident.
This was a pretty big investment, meaning they were pretty damned sure on a solid ROI when they pressed that button. Adding to that the personal connections they have? Sure. Sure.

As amb mentioned

Congratulations on securing a better work environment for yourselves! :)

“I tested a bunch with my own two specific and ginormous hands and this works best for everyone, yes.” - Hardware Designer at Valve, probably

Seriously though, most controllers short change *someone* - either it’s people with big hands or people with small hands. The only real solutions are to have at least two

“It was simply a lucky bet. We acted on no information of any kind from anyone. It is one of those coincidences”

Simply one of those coincidences that happen to net me $60 million in a few days. A random stroke of the $100 million brush - happy little accidents.

The comments mentioned are not complaints, and not really criticism either.
The way they are worded, they are what in modding would be described as “polite requests for an alt version of the mod”, because some detail is not to the commenters personal liking, and they recognize that it’s a personal preference.
They are

oh fuck I’m ded

No. I want to counter this article, because fuck these mechanics. These games ARE inferior, even if the gamers playing them aren’t.
When I play gatcha games I engage with them highly strategically and focused too, for very long periods...

Yeah that headline super confused me, I had to read it several times to be sure.
I don’t understand how CoD could be seen as a step up from Control

They care if it seems like it means people are less likely to buy their next game.

Guillemots OUT!

If it takes a wholesale purchase to oust them so the company can finally improve (for employees; not talking about games) then so be it.
Someone who isn’t Tencent: Dig in!

Hey, what about me! Don’t I get a medal?
“Glad I quit playing their games already!

(.......only because I don’t have any friends who still wants to play it Q_Q)

I don’t think that’s fair, especially since the complaint is that this is a sequel to a game that DIDN’T force the world building on you in this manner. It’s absolutely worth mentioning that people who may have enjoyed that game for the more detail-light/optional approach, will not find the same here.

I personally

I can’t applaud this, the sentence is ridiculous. Even if they sent all of Nintendo to the fucking grave it would be too much (which they absolutely didn’t, or anywhere near). Criminals who actually hurt *people* get less.

I’m all for fining him, seizing assets, barring from certain activities etc. but that sentence is

I’m so on board

Hey, look - Ubisoft had to find some way to move attention away from their sexist, corrupt, nepotistic Old Boys’ Club.
What better way to make people forget a scandal than to make up a couple new ones?

That company will never improve on any social or moral axis so long as the Guillemots are in charge. They founded the

You know, I almost kinda wish they’d lean into that. Make them intentionally look like actual cardboard cutouts at a distance - 2D pixel sprites with like 4 animation frames. Jarring? Yes. Hella funny and possibly quite charming? Also yes.

I’m so disappointed that it says “enlarging” instead of “buffing” 😞

It was always dece on PC, and considering the hype and heavy discount this fall as well, it shouldn’t really be a big surprise.
I played at launch and didn’t like it - but that was just that I didn’t enjoy the direction they took the story, and that’s about as subjective as a complaint can get. Mileage *will* vary.
