SCRAWLER! I haven't talked to you in forever, but the timing of both watching Frances Ha and reading Magic for Beginners in the same week made me think of you (and now I really hope I remember correctly that you're the one that recommended both of those). What's going on with you, how are things, and why aren't you on

Haha

Ah, fair. Still a stereotype I think.

Of course the one week I don't have something prepared yet is the one week Bahn is on schedule lol. Expect a super size final spinoff corner (at least in its current form) next month.

Eastern European maid is DEFINITELY a stereotype though. But credit to BB for not being offensive about it I guess.

Interesting! Never knew that before, cool.

It's a British thing, so it makes sense you never heard of it until we tried to copy it.

Hey buddy, why don't we take some selfies with Criterion Blurays at a Starbucks inside of a bookstore to you cheer up? I'll put on my best flannel.

"An ode to Leverage"

Yeah, Shades is in another class. It's permeated our culture so much that it's reasonable to engage with it at some level. We're not invading it's culture sphere, all of us were yanked into it. Though again, commenting on it just to insult it, so you can separate it from yourself rather than engaging with it, is never

Watching =/= talking though.

Exactly. You got it.

You can gawk at an accident, but you don't run up to an accident and start loudly shouting how great of a driver you are while the family of the driver is mourning right next to you. It is entirely possible to silently gawk.

I agree with that first clause, but don't understand how this relates to my comment.

Yeah, and it's weird in every F grade review. Why is this the norm?

Dudes claiming territory that's not theirs because NOW they perceive some value in it and actively resisting education and assimilation: it's obnoxious in every context.

I TOO MUST BURST INTO A THREAD OF A SHOW I DON'T WATCH AND LOUDLY DECLARE MY LOVE OF THE FAILURE OF OTHERS WHILE INSISTING THAT I AM NOT A FAN OF ANYTHING THAT COULD DAMAGE MY MASCULINITY

I enjoy Mark Ruffalo based on his wide variety of performances between The Kids Are All Right, The Brothers Bloom, and Avengers. I've seen Butterfield play essentially the same character in Hugo and Ender's Game and expect him to do the same things for Parker.

No, I saw him give a very nuanced and unusual performance, qualities he brought to Banner. All I've seen Butterfield play is Generic Protagonist. He will no doubt do the same here.

I mean I saw Ruffalo in only one film before he played Hulk so I have no clue what the fuck you're talking about.
