A real financial risk from the guy who just made hundreds of millions from a movie featuring a talking space raccoon. You've hit the nail on the head, he's just too stupid to see the obvious issues with his thinking, or to see that he's in a position to send a real positive message.

That's what I was thinking of too. I think it just really needs a new injection of fresh talent, but it's in a holding pattern until then.

Instead it's ending on When Marnie Was There which is what I hear kind of an "eh" note.

And then of course there's Libby dealing with her trust issues by taking it out on Coral. Ruining Coral's hair just because she needs to have some control over someone in her life, all while going on about trust. She needs someone she can trust, even if she goes overboard with it.

Hmmmm, maybe.

"You turdblossom!"

If Marvel was paying Glenn Close her usual going price for that few lines and scenes they need better accountants then. There are plenty of older actresses out there who could have done the same level of performance with what they were given for a fraction of the price. I just assumed she was there for kicks like

I loved how many ringers fill out the edges of the cast. There's Reilly, plus Glenn Close and Djimon Hounsou, both in thankless roles of about ten lines each. Apparently they're just happy to be included in weird stuff. Those roles didn't need that kind of star power at all, but I really appreciate it none the less.

Guaridans of the Galaxy!!! It was everything I wanted. Great humor, great characters, great action. It doesn't stray much from the summer blockbuster template, but it doesn't really need to in order to have a good time. I've seen it twice now, which is probably enough times for in theaters, but I can already tell the

Any word on the Classic Who review? Is it delayed till next week?

Solid pick, my favorite is the balls to the wall crazy brawl on the highway between Cap and co. and the Winter Soldier plus some Hydra goons. It felt both intense in action, yet kept the scale relatively small making it feel much more tense and personal. Probably one of the best action scenes…ever.

Now I just feel stupid, but rightfully so.

Ditto, though I will always be pleasantly surprised by the occasional strong action sequence. Both this film and Winter Soldier had some great set pieces.

I'd say with Lucy and (as Margot reminded me) the Hunger Games doing very well the tide is definitely turning.

Uggghhhhh

"On second thought, I'm gonna flip the script. Eating your brains, yay or nay? I'm seeing a lot of yay faces over here."

I didn't notice any of that, that's really cool.

I've never seen a Hunger Games movie, but I guess those would count as action movies? They seem different from the usual mold, but I guess yeah, that is an oversight on my part.

"That's a cinderblock Toby."
"I just want to be included."

I get so excited whenever I read an interview with Alex Hirsch and he talks about all the things they learned from season 1 and how they're going to push harder for serialization this season. It's great.
