Well now he knows, the point being before the shape shifter…shapeshifted would he have known to count fingers.

Aw, I love it. It's so…innocent.
Yes.
You mean Cartoon Network, and yes.
I really wish I did, I should revisit it sometime.
I'd forgotten, so I was grateful for the reminder.
Or both. I'm guessing both.
I love that they set up so many tells for the shapeshifter (see also: Soos' jacket) but I was taken surprise by the one they wound up using which was a subtle callback to season one. That's great writing.
But those don't have commentary tracks or behind the scene featurettes! Adventure Time has spoiled me.
I stuck around for the Wander Over Yonder episode that was on after this. It was super enjoyable and charming. Even though I could tell the plot beats and punchlines coming from a mile away, the gag writing was sharp enough and inventive enough to keep it delightful, and that animation is fantastic. I need to check…
I didn't know they made a biopic about me!
The Planet Monsters of Planet Planet!
Maybe Disney will realize the slightly older audience buys season Blurays?
All those Dipper/Wender scenes hit me really hard and personally. Ouch Alex Hirsch, how did you know how to hurt me?
I totally thought the shapeshifter would try to be Dipper and they find him out when he told a good joke. Relatedly:
"How do we know you're the real Mabel and Soos?"
"Maybe I am the shapeshifter! Quick, Mabel, examine my shape!"
Does Dipper know the author has six fingers though? Maybe he just thought the design on the cover was just a design?
This is a show that does not fear cancellation.
"Ha ha, guess you're not sleeping tonight dude."
