I'm so ready for the Year of Chris Pratt to reach its peak.

And in the future when I see your posts I'll know to ignore them because I'll know you're just getting off on quashing other people's excitement and joy.

Yes, but not intentionally

Post your hype list guys. Mine is in loose descending order, but yours doesn't have to be. New entries from yesterday's list in bold.

I thought so, but I guess it's an eye of the beholder situation. I think I would have responded better if he tried to frame his point as a topic for debate rather than just stating it as a cold hard fact that he thought my excitement was unfounded.

Next time you decide to shit on someone's enthusiasm, at least try to do it politely.

Yeah, but I'd still say it's a "decent film", and I hope Edge of Tomorrow is good enough too. The trailers, look good, and the concept is clever enough that a bad movie would just be extra disappointing.

Same for me. Guardians is also my #1 pick. Lucy will also be on my list tomorrow.

"Director Doug Liman hasn’t made a decent film since The Bourne Identity"

Guardians of the Galaxy! Lucy! Jupiter Ascending!

Should we just post our hype lists here? That's what I'm going to do.

Or Titus Andronicus. Or whatever Greek poem Titus Andronicus was based on. It's an old plot.

That's actually true, before rewatching it I had a long conversation with some of my friends about what they all got out of it. And we came to the conclusion that it means so many different things, and no one had the same reaction. That's so weird, yet cool.

That is perfect.

I rewatched Her. It might be one of the most emotionally raw movies I've seen, all of Theodore's emotions are just there, front and center. It gets straight to your heart in a very resonant, painful way. And there's so much to unpack here, watching it for a second time made me realize that it's going to take so many

A very astute point.

Ah I get it.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND!

Well lots of things, but lots of things go wrong with any kind of idea. When something goes wrong, you fix it. I'm sure if there are any major issues it will be addressed before the service starts. And if the problems are too big then they won't do it. But the concept is still cool.

Honestly, the idea of drones delivering my groceries sounds cool as fuck. The idea of drone delivery sounds cool in general. I still don't get the huge backlash Amazon got when they unveiled their drone program.
