I don't necessarily agree with it being the only bit of decent characterization.

That's why I try to emphasize that my opinions on Moffat are my own, and not supposed to be universal, or that I judge you for having those opinions. More qualifiers: I was also pretty annoyed with RTD's flaws by Journey's End, and was really excited for Moffat. I still think Moffat's first season still hold up as the…
Y not?
"given the preferred pastime of Doctor Who fans seems to be to stress what a horrible program Doctor Who has become now that whoever is running it now is in charge"
Given the over importance New Who places on The Master, I bet he'll only show up in the finale. I would be glad to be proven wrong and get a lower key adventure with him.
I understand why Blink has become the go-to introduction for Who, but at the same time I completely do not understand it at all. It's frustrating for sure.
Everyone's throwing Charles Dance's name around, it makes me hopeful he'll actually show up for an episode or two.
Eh, I don't mind weird sexual psychodrama. My bigger problem was posing him as this apocalyptic threat, murdering humans throughout time, rather than summoning random aliens for shits and giggles.
I didn't include this bit in my post because I feel like I've done enough Moffat bashing, but if you're going to prompt me….yeah it's really frustrating that people's love of Blink makes them code it as definitive Who. So they just encourage the clever mystery bullshit plots that are my biggest problem with Who now. I…
SPOILERS FOR BLOODTIDE (on the off-chance you actually care about that)
Spinoff Corner
I can name a couple particularly irritating people.
He then barely showed up for Colin Baker and McCoy's season, because they just weren't the same.
I think the Master should go back to his roots as a lighter, less serious villain. I really appreciated the camp Delgado brought, and the sort of bickering relationship he had with Pertwee's Doctor.
Ah, Blink. Doctor Who fans have a lot to thank for it, because it provided a great jumping on point for a lot of people, becoming one of the most passed around and viewed new episodes (especially thanks to Netflix). I would call it one of the factors that lead to Doctor Who's huge popularity in America now. But it…
We definitely need a triumphant return of Franziska and her incredibly painful whip. I'd love to see a showdown between her and Athena.
I actually have that, but disable it for this site so the AV Club advertisers still count my "view". I want to support this site. But ads that interfere with how it functions make that difficult.
Oh sure, AV Club, I'd love to watch these videos. Weird, my computer's muted, let me turn up the sound and…*two Disney World video ads start playing in slow motion drowning out all other sound*. Well I guess I can't actually watch these videos. So thanks a bunch.
I'm sorry, I'll do my best to make sure everything is the same forever.
So…do you think I'll have to change my avatar?
