I've heard it's the best one though, so I've been meaning to check it out.

I'm pretty sure The Eleventh Hour and The Big Bang are also strong contenders. Series 5 in general is very justly praised as an all around great season, it's a shame the next two couldn't live up to that standard.

Doctor Who
But that's its own long, unfun argument

Moffat outright said he has no idea what the Eternal Dalek does. He just needed a fifth name and picked something that sounded cool and mysterious. It's Moffat's problems in a microcosm.

I mostly agree. I don't really mind the new historicals because they are quite a bit of fun, but it would be nice to get an actual great period piece for once.

This is why historical stories worked so well in the 60s, there was no pressure to have a monster. So many stories were just about the Doctor and his companions adjusting to and mucking around in historical times, and it was fun. The Aztecs and The Romans are two of my favorite stories.

Apparently he's writing some Fourth Doctor stories for Big Finish, and that has me really excited.

Ouch, this comment hits close to home, and I say that as a big fan of Blink and Who in general.

Hey, I know tons of people who only love it only for the Harry Potter references, so no judgement here.

Spinoff Corner

Well Game of Thrones and Veep have been off the air for a while, and I'm only a couple episodes behind on Community, Bob's Burgers, The Americans, New Girl, and Archer because I put them off to focus on school work. I kept up with Arrow because I didn't want to be spoiled on any twists and Brooklyn Nine-Nine because

Those are the only two shows I'm currently watching! What the hell hulu, why do you torment me like that?

Like the men aren't also super cliche. Come on a "rebel cowboy", "street smart and loyal only to himself", "the team's muscle", everyone's gonna sound shallow in the press releases.

What about the female pilot?

That's the reason I'm excited for it. I haven't cared about Star Wars in years, but Weisman has almost never done wrong. It's karmic that he's now gaining a job thanks to a Disney buyout instead of losing one.

At least Star Wars Rebels has a chance of improving on Clone Wars, which is something Ultimate Spider-Man could never claim.

They hacked the ROM so Red at the end will have the final party from the first game. So it's one big narrative of the Johto Pokemon trying to kill their gods, like the protagonists in any good JRPG.

Probably because there was little Finn and no Jake.

So what's your favorite bit of lore?
