That's what hooked me, the sociological implications. Democracy was such a fascinating option because basically the players rescinded both a guarantee their voice would be heard and the possibility of more fun mishaps in the name of less confusion and more progress. Soon enough, the longer we spent on one challenge,

Pretty much what I did too. The fan community is way more compelling than the actual stream ever was.

I'd be terrified the children that are reading Oglaf.

Pretty much sums up how I feel too.

But I actually liked it.

It IS superficially hip, there's just some actual substance to it too. It walks a fine line of knowing and catering to its audience while also having a point.

Hercules and Mulan were pretty great too, and you could make a strong case for Hunchback.

I should watch more of Aziz's standup sometime, I've loved what little I've seen.

There wasn't really a point to it, no surprise, the plot just sort of happens in the obvious way near the end. I especially dislike how Amy Adams essentially disappears near the end, the only scenes she's in she has no impact on them. I still love the film on the merits of its incredible first two thirds, but the last

I love love love 999, but I can understand why the first half is offputting. Though the main endings are also text heavy, at least the plot is racing at the same pace. VLR is way better at that, since there's less exposition going in, plus a lack of time limit (people often say that VLR is the better "game" while 999

On Friday I went on a spur of the moment trip to see Spring Awakening at College Park. It was awesome, I loved the music, the set, and the choreography. Shame the actors couldn't deliver dialog that well, but hey, it was a college production, I'm not surprised everyone there wasn't triple threat. Time to listen to

If you like Benny I'd recommend at least the first episode of her spin-off series, "Oh No it Isn't". Wickedly funny and clever. The other three stories I've listened to have ranged from "very interesting but flawed" to "downright awful", but I've heard it gets better in later seasons.

It is fabulously ridiculous.

I'm going to upvote you, because that was a funny quip, but he seemed to be giving line readings tonight rather than sounding like he was reading off cue cards. He also could move his face in a natural way that reflected emotion. He's not a great actor now, but at least he is acting now. Baby steps.

I don't think so. Maybe they were telling the actor to pitch his voice up for the first half so it would be close to his voice last season, then let him drop it after the timeskip.

I was going to post Nine and Ace before realizing that that is an even more impossible, beautiful dream.

I think we all know you're the only someone who had to say it. :P

I agree with most of this, except the transformation into a flying monkey was a fantastic moment of camp, as are the ridiculous implications. Look, if this show is going to continually fail at being serious, the least it can do is stop taking itself so seriously.

It's weird how all it took was Henry's voice dropping to make him fifty times more tolerable. Also, it's hilariously ironic that he is now the one person who can't remember or believe in anything.
