But how great would it be to through Classic Doctors and companions into the mix? Or switch them up too? Eight/Donna? Eleven/Ace? Six/Amy? Endless possibilities!
Never say never. Tom Baker's stance on the show was a lot like Eccleston's now, but he recently started recording stories.
Since a lot of people here seem to be saying "I hate her comedy but love her work on Who" I'm curious. What is your opinion on the Red Nose Day sketch she did with Tennant? http://www.youtube.com/watc…

It's a very distinctive design, very memorable too. It's weird that they haven't come back besides a couple cameos.
I desperately want Big Finish to acquire the rights to the stuff from RTD's Who so we can have Ten/Donna audios. Their chemistry is fantastic and can easily carry any story in that format.
I actually do think Rory is close up there too. He was my favorite for a while, until Moffat kind of soured him a bit in the last season. Maybe with some distance he'll reclaim the top spot. It's also so easy to say Donna because her only problem is that there isn't enough of her.
I completely understand, no said "favorite" had to be "best". I was just trying to clarify what I thought you meant by muddled, and also explain why I don't think so highly of her, even though I love a lot of individual aspects of her.

Ummmmmm DONNA?
I would never argue that sex doesn't belong in Who, but I think it's definitely something that RTD got right and Moffat continues to screw up. Amy is a pretty good example of that, not making a great first impression by trying to sleep with a man the night before her wedding. That combined with her getting all tangled…
I feel like it's been this way for a while now, maybe even since the series started.
I'm really curious why you guys keep listing Doctor Who as going up at 11 when it's consistently been going up at 1.
He's in the weird gray area. He's his own category.
Yeah, Six only has 11 stories, 8 if you don't break up Trial. The least out of any classic Doctor.
Yeah, I guess the comparison holds less water when you take into account that it was a transition in stages, from Four/Romana II -> Four/Romana/Adric -> Four/Adric/Nyssa -> Five/Adric/Nyssa/Tegan. But still, the overall quality difference between Romana and Adric is big.
DOCTOR'S ALIVE?!?
As Grant says, only four Six serials left, plenty of time. Especially when you consider how many Fourth Doctor serials there still are.
Honestly, Tegan and Turlough weren't that great. Not enough for the change to Peri to be a big step down.
