Oh yeah, it's dense, but it all pays off. Part of the joy is watching the game throw so many crazy, philosophical ideas and weird pseudo-historical facts at you and then watching it slowly tie it all together.

I still think Spirited Away tops Naussica for me, but that just speaks to how fantastic Miyazaki is at what he does.

999 is amazing. I really want to hear your thoughts on it when you play it, cause it's a great experience I feel. Also, be sure to pick up the sequel for the 3DS, Virtue's Last Reward.
I knew Gravity would never win Best Picture, but I consider Best Director to be a super awesome consolation prize. That win and Her's screenplay win made me so happy.
TIL, Atticus Finch is a real life hero. I think they got the theme of that montage confused.
So I finished stage managing the experimental dance show, which was a blast, and finished auditioning for the next play at my college. Won't find out results until later today, fingers crossed.
"the overall effect this creates (both the Doctor and Charley not having a clue who or what they are) is fascinating"
Yes the two seconds at the end where 8 and Brig met were pretty great. Seriously though, what a waste of the Brig.
I actually do have lots of terrible, awful things to say about it, descriptions that elucidate its complete failing on every level. But hey, brevity is wit.
If I were to fantasy cast a TARDIS crew, it would be 11/Donna/Ace/Jamie. And it'd be amazing.
I'd even put 11/Clara over it. Otherwise, I like your list.
I do love Children of Earth, but it's almost a different show. I never really got into the first two seasons, though they did have some neat ideas.
Alamo is an easy American one. Great setting with pre-packaged irony.
That fact that a show could actually learn something by watching Torchwood explains volumes.
Night of the Doctor deserves its own category for excellence. The rest are fun but disposable, but that's essential Who mythology.
Yeah, the Dalek/Cybermen pissing match is still one of the big highlights of RTD's run. It was a very formative Who memory for me.

There has to be a balance. I'd take an hour of moping over. "OhbetterleaveyounowSarah,TimeLordstuffbyeeeeee"
I still remember Clara's casting well.
Moffat: "We found someone who can actually be as crazy as Matt!"
Me: "Moffat, no. That's a terrible idea."
