I believe that gambling is morally wrong, therefor:

Battery. The drink actually connected. Fine up to $2000, and/or 6 months in jail.

I assume the police have looked into this battery, as there would appear to be video evidence?

Yes? It’s pretty much in the title of your article. “When you’re put up against a wall, you’re going to speak out.”

I’m not sure Bill Gates would agree with you.

Interesting... Not sure if many noticed, but apparently Paltrow just threw Pitt under the bus. In the linked article she makes it clear that she mentioned her harassment to Pitt, who then confronted Weinstein. So *he* presumably, knew. And other than confronting Weinstein, did nothing.

Uhm...

I’m sorry, but I have to disagree with the “act of bravery” angle. It’s not an act of bravery when a cornered rat turns around and fights back, it’s an act of desperation, with nothing left to lose.

Why? I’m curious why anybody is upset that people who worked with a guy X number of years ago failed to be the first people to head to the town square, pick up stones, and throw ‘em at the guy.

It’s only funny ‘till somebody gets hurt.

Which is a large part of the argument of the people who boycotted the most recent PR referendum. The question was phrased as to whether to stop being a colony. They don’t consider PR a colony, so boycotted the referendum.

IIRC the various recent PR referendum’s have all been (allegedly) poorly worded.

To be fair, just because somebody says to a friend (or group of friends) that they find a coworker extremely attractive doesn’t mean they plan to, or are, sexually harassing him/her. Meeting your future spouse at work is fairly common, and presumably it starts with attraction.

Sorry, no. Being held back doesn’t sink a career. Not getting a promotion is infinitely better than being fired for alleged harassment.

I think iRobot or Demolition Man may have been a better example. It’s been a while since I watched it, but I never got the impression that in the 5th element they were autonomous. He was always more or less “in control” of the vehicle, it just wouldn’t let him do certain things until he turned on the override. (like

I’m curious what kind of hookers you use that wouldn’t be considered passengers.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. It wouldn’t be nearly so freaky looking if there wasn’t a steering wheel there actually turning back and forth under it’s own power.

It could just be bad timing/geography. AFAIK there’s been no cops getting in trouble because of body cams in Baltimore county. The city (which is where the incidents have occurred) isn’t, oddly, actually in the county.

I was under the impression they did a lot of it to themselves? In order to make themselves more appealing to U.S. corporations, they wrote it into their constitution that paying debts takes precedence over everything else.

You sure? I was under the impression that as far as taxes to the Fed go they only pay import/export, payroll, and social security. No income, which is the vast bulk of what everybody else pays.
