Kamala Harris cleverly rose above to steal the applause line.

“Mr Sanders, how will you do it?”

I agree with the first part, but after last night I’d love to see a Warren Castro ticket. We’ll see how my feelings on this change after the second and future debates!

I would definitely vote Warren on that basis alone.

Oh my god, this.  To see this many candidates on stage and not calling each other childish names was so refreshing.  It’s why I can’t get the comparison to the GOP’s 2016 primaries.  These are just fundamentally different parties, these days.  The GOP is not a serious party.  The Democrats are.

Agree completely. I wouldn’t be horrified if any one of them ended up as our candidate (except Delaney). It was really nice to get a glimpse of what it might look like to have adults leading the country again.

I was definitely impressed by Warren. Far and away the best choice on stage, though Castro and Booker shone pretty nicely too.

I was truly excited for her to speak tonight and she delivered at every turn. I’m so ready for President Warren and all of her wonderful plans.

A lot of leaders, and a lot of agreement on the basic policies, with just differences in the details (not that those aren’t important mind you). Made me feel good.

While I think a lot of candidates made good showings for themselves tonight, I’m inclined to agree. If I had to vote in the primary tomorrow, I’d vote for Warren.

That said, I found myself thinking back to the utter circus that was the Republican primary debates in 2012 and feeling pretty damn good about the future.

Ahahahaaaaaaaa, every fucking time I see that header pic (or some variation of it) I lose it.

(The charges related to Mitch McConnell were later dropped...because anyone can google the address of the local zoo’s turtle pen and aquarium.)

The term “conservative feminism” is an oxymoron. The very definition of the modern conservative is to be anti feminist.

For anyone who wants to read more about the human side of the disaster, definitely pick up Voices from Chernobyl by Svetlana Alexievich. The writer of the tv show based parts of the miniseries on her work (Lyudmilla Ignatenko is someone she originally interviewed).

Reliable TERF tactic: bait trans folks (usually, but not always, women) into responding to a provocation, only include the response in the clips you disseminate, and then try to get the state to wield its police power against the trans person, who will receive harsher consequences in the legal system than a cis person

Adjoining townhouses is the dream, IMHO.
