I agree with you completely. I’ve been arguing about this with liberal friends in the northeast for years now... they have no idea how terrible public education is basically anywhere outside of bougie coastal suburbs. I graduated from public school in Indiana with classmates that couldn’t read, and almost none who had

I can’t afford rehab. Sephora gets all my money b

She talked about how next year will be a year of change, and when something goes wrong, we need to make sure we step in and make it right, but meanwhile we need to give each other a chance.

The first thing that jumps out at me about that “story”, honestly, is how can one guy personally interview 2.5 million people in three weeks??? Is he Superman? If he did 100 interviews a week, it would take him 500 years to interview that many people.

I’m super fed up with facts not mattering. That everyone deserves their own opinion even when it’s counter to reality. All you have to do is google what you want to know, there’s a crack-pot for every lid. Experts are denigrated for being ‘elite’ instead of being appreciated for their knowledge and hard work.

We’re fucked you guys.

I seriously don’t know how to fight something like this.

I saw a really great meme on Instagram but can’t find it now.

My paternal genetic donor who is a trump supporter loves going on about the articles he reads on Facebook like they are the holy grail of knowledge.

Would have been nice if CNN et al. would have been this incredulous and condescending to Trump himself, who is exactly as loony as these folks but now has actual power to act in reaction to conspiracy theories.

“That’s been around forever. If you keep reporting on it, it’s going to grow like a cancer,” Paula said. “If you forget about it, it’s probably going to go away. The media has to hop on everything and it’s wrong.”

Lawrence (or rather, one of his men) dressed Dolores up like that as part of the quest William and Logan triggered in Pariah. If she’s re-tracing her footsteps from all those years ago, she is likely going through all of the same events, wardrobe changes included.

I was so excited when she showed up at his camp, becuz you knew what was about to go down! They are hot hot hot.

Being proved right about multiple time lines:

My feeling is that they shouldn’t. Like Westworld seems to be doing all along, so far, the draw isn’t the shock or surprise, but the execution. And I’m ok with that. A well told story doesn’t necessarily need to be surprising. Trying to strive for shock or worse, letting surprise me your main metric for quality, is

Pet theory: Teddy is Wyatt, and everyone is waiting for him to “come back”.

But could it be a good thing? It felt like Lost and True Detective tied themselves in knots just to make sure the nerds weren’t right. I could see the appeal of a show that’s actually guessable. The suspense may be gone a bit, but fan engagement might be higher. Not sure, tbh, just thinking out loud.

we are reminded that he killed Theresa and Elsie

OF COURSE Michelle MacLaren directed that episode. Her work on Breaking Bad was phenomenal, quite literally without flaw. This was done in exactly that style.
