It looks like it’s an upgraded voltec powertrain, electric motor makes about 60 HP more, I think.

I’d suggest a Cadillac ELR. It’s definitely offbeat and rare, great for commuting and good for road trips. Virtually new ones are under 30 and the interior is nicer than the Volt.
The leaf has coilovers available, but yeah, not too much you can do to the drivetrain. I haven’t seen any aftermarket sway bars but with the low cg they don’t seem very necessary.
ADM is just another one of those awesome consumer protections dealerships offer.
That analogy would be correct if beta players could also play vhs but cost less than a vhs only player. Tesla can use any charging standard except CCS, and I’m not sure on that one.
The existing level 2 charging network (like blink) is slow. I have a Leaf, you really need to plan around charge times and the car is unusable for road trips. I know the bolt has a 200 mile range, my point was that, while Chevy addressed the range half of the equation, Tesla is also addressing the charging half. Chevy…
I’d be a little disappointed if it was included in the base price. I’m hoping for a pay per use system to help avoid congestion, but even if it’s a flat cost option, it’s probably still worth it.
J1772 is generally going to provide a charge rate of about 20-25 miles range per hour, while Tesla’s 80a level 2 deliverers 58 miles of range per hour on the model s (with dual chargers), and superchargers are more like 150-200 miles in about 30 minutes. DC fast charging is really important for long distance travel…
GM doesn’t have a charging network. A 200 mile electric car isn’t much more useful than an 80 mile electric car if you don’t have sufficient charging infrastructure. Plus, this is a refundable reservation, no reason anyone can’t just cancel and buy the bolt anyway.
Houston Galleria line is starting to get long. I wouldn’t really compare it to black Friday, much nicer atmosphere.
Just recently on an l61 ecotec, misdiagnosed a failing starter as a failing timing chain. Starter took 10 minutes to replace, the timing chain took quite a bit longer... (Especially since GM uses three different torque to yield bolts for the job, only two of which are included in the kit)
I’ve never purchased a new car before and hate the iPhone hype, but I’ll be standing in line to get an early reservation on March 31st
Yeah, I was gifted a grey market e30 323i after it wouldn’t pass MA emissions. It was purchased new by my uncle on an extended trip to Germany and they liked it so much they imported it and gave it to my cousin for his 18th birthday.
The Pacifica’s ev range and battery size isn’t just on par with other phevs currently on the market, it’s the longest distance and largest battery outside of the Volt. I’d call that segment leading. It’s almost the same battery size as the first gen Volt and should qualify for the full $7500 tax credit. I’m really…
Yes - ISS regularly reboosts on the order of 100 km using fuel delivered by resupply vehicles and sometimes with help from the resupply vehicle’s thrusters. The low altitude was picked to help international and commercial partners develop vehicles that can reach the station (current and past unmanned resupply vehicles…
The better question is - does the rapidly approaching driver behind me have brakes, and is he or she paying attention to the road?
The unsafe condition is elevated risk of being rear-ended by a driver behind you who is not expecting to crest a hill or go around a blind corner and find a vehicle travelling significantly under the speed limit.
That’s funny, normally you can be held liable for crimes committed with your vehicle even though you weren’t driving it.
This is the same as the BMW active steering system that’s been used since 2003.
2003 Nighthawk 750. My previous bike was an 84 Honda Sabre 700, and I spent a lot more time working on it than riding it, plus it left me stranded pretty often. The Nighthawk is fast enough and handles well enough in an urban setting - but mostly it’s the lowest maintenance bike I could find. Air cooled means no water…
