@Clown Shoe Pilot: i believe that it's actually because people who live in houston are statistically much more likely to randomly crash into other cars. i grew up in one of the wealthier areas in upstate ny, so there were significantly more bmws, mercedes, porsches and unfortunately lexi, to hit. the average car in

@Spasticteapot: my liablity only insurance on an 8 year old intrepid was really quite cheap in my early 20s, when i was living in upstate ny. i pay a lot more living in houston even though i'm in my late 20s now (and still don't have anything on my record)

Late model Zs, which usually end up like this

@pauljones: I'd put educated drivers up there next to world peace on my list of things that are likely to happen in the next 50 years.

Wow, too bad I can't afford this. I currently have an older Honda dohc V4 powered bike, and it's really a great form factor - very smooth and had a really mean exhaust note. Get rid of the pita valve adjustments and the relatively large and heavy cylinder heads, and this seems like a great idea!

@Ash78. Good. For the price of great.: I wish they had used a diesel "generator" for exactly this reason. An hour counter on the ICE would also be a useful addition, but every GM vehicle currently comes with an oil life monitor, so I'd imagine it's not a big deal to use that on the Volt as well.

@LoveMy5.0: They say it on there - 33.7 kw-h is equivalent to one gallon of gas. So you can drive 93 miles on 33.7 kw-h @ $0.11 / kw-h and $1 will get you 30.35 miles, which is pretty close to the all electric range.

E30

@v8corvairpickup: Yeah, I could definitely feel the water hitting the floor boards. In reality, I was just driving through flooded Houston streets during a heavy rainstorm, but in this particular incident, I had to swerve around a Lexus GX who was afraid to go through the shallow part of the puddle, and just plowed

I think I've done worse in my Roadmaster wagon.

6k is quite the bargain for that, imo... I don't think there's anything particularly rare or difficult to deal with in the drivetrain, so even if it wasn't running, it would be easy to fix. With much more common place e30 wagons selling for 5 figures...

@HammerheadFistpunch: T-type LeSabre coupes are already going that direction. I think some of the supercharged 3800s might also at least gain a following in future years.

Aveo.

@IGNTNUNLMTD: You can take advantage of technology all you want - even non-linear equations of motion will all still have a little m in them, as well as a number of different Is. Tech can makes fat cars faster, but it can also make thin cars faster.

Seems fine to me. My E24 is SUBSTANTIALLY smaller inside than my E30 coupe, even though the E24 weighs 1000 lbs more and has 50% more engine displacement. That rolls looks like it's pretty cramped inside too. You wouldn't want to buy something classified as a large car and find out you can't put anyone or anything in

man I miss the roads around there. They have some of the twistiest roads in the country, and the pavement quality is actually pretty decent.

One would think that underbody images would be included in the listings...

I'd rather drive a Dodge D100.

@horspowr1001 - If somebody says shenanigans one more time....: Absolutely gorgeous - that's where I went to school. Crisp air, incredible foliage, rolling hills with twisty roads if you know where to look (outside of most towns the pavement is actually quite good too). Man, I miss it. November is kind of the tail end
