Oh man. All this show makes me realize is that we may never see a great Y: The Last Man adaptation. Especially because of that last plot point.

The next panel clarifies that Wasp named them, but both still imply whoever’s in the Iron Man suit was either there at that moment or at least involved in their first adventure.

On Michael Bay: I know I may be in the minority but I really, really enjoyed Pain & Gain. I think Bay’s dark comedic streak is really effective when it’s not cobbled on to movies like the various Transformers. It helps that P&G seemed to have a script with actual themes present that carried all through the film, and

I hadn’t spotted Gambi’s name anywhere so nice work. I was thrilled when, in the latest episode of Flash, Cisco drew attention to how much better Barry’s brighter outfit looks in the future. Here’s hoping the show commits to it in season 2.

Someone’s stolen my dream of Will Smith essentially playing the Pullman role in the sequel: the fighter pilot turned POTUS who has to come out of retirement to shoot aliens to death.

Makes this cover a lot more interesting.

Project Almanac, which was produced by Michael Bay. Could this be a TMNT repeat?

I keep wanting to say it's the edit that throws off the pace of those jokes but, nope, the delivery just feels overly serious for beats that they're trying to sell as comedic. Makes me worry they're not gonna be all that effective in the final cut.

The amazing thing is that Cap 2 was arguably more bloated, with SHIELD, Hydra, Falcon, Black Widow, Nick Fury, the Council, Robert Redford and Arnim Zola all thrown in there on top of the two guys sharing the title. And yet somehow they managed to pull it all off near perfectly.

Thor 2 was an entertaining action

One of the more unfortunate examples of modern coloring changing a story's tone is Flex Mentallo . Although I believe Morrison and/or Quitely were consulted on the recoloring for the Deluxe Edition, and the new look adds to the book's overall themes of being set in a cynical urban post Watchmen dystopia, the new look

I have very little to add in the way of Star Wars discussion (the prequels tired me out on the franchise but I'm excited for the new movies) but I have to say that this guide was a great piece and I hope to see more of them on the site.

Until reading the comments here (and perhaps somewhat ironically) my only memory of Heroes was that when it first aired we used to go to a club and order "The Haitian", a row of nine shots of tequilas that all had to be had in one go.

That's my reading of it as well, even though it is confusing as hell, yeah. Corrupt old cop dies and is resurrected to team up with his FBI agent son.

Yep. Here was an opportunity for something even just slightly more against the grain than another cop show. Something like, I dunno, The Pretender where the institutionalized "good guys" are bad and the lead is (maybe) a "bad guy"? That would've been a lot more interesting.

"THE TRAVELER" | Described as a "Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and

It would be something if they had Smallville's version of Booster Gold show up in The Flash, and just have him say stuff that implies he's been bouncing through the Multiverse and he's seen these other Earths.

Oh man. All I remember about the latter of those two episodes is that it ended on a cliffhanger, with the second Hulk running off into the woods with Banner-Hulk in pursuit. I never did find out what happened (although I can guess).

I found the best way to get into meditation was to start slow, with short sessions at first, but to do them daily. That helped a lot in developing the habit, which in turn helped me center my thoughts and made me more capable of managing my time. And of course that in turn helped me meditate for longer.

I'd imagine that, since this is set during Secret Wars, most of these incarnations of the characters aren't from the main Marvel Universe but from alternate Earths. It could be, say, Ultimate Cloak & Dagger with 616 Skaar and Valeria and Earth-811 Bucky and Jubilee. Their ages can be whatever Noelle Stevenson needs

This is one of those things that started as a dumb idea but was redeemed by a good writer, actually. The idea of turning Betty Ross into Red She-Hulk is... ok. But the idea that this gave Betty an opportunity to stop being the damsel in distress in Hulk comics, and to be a hero in her own right, is pretty great.
