Road. Trip.

You wanted to show a pink S15 and didn’t go with the Yashio Factory car? For shame!

But hey, while we’re here.

I think you need to get some real ones. What size are those?

Doubtful. Given where battery technology was back then, it’d probably overheat quite quickly, and have a very short range. You would likely have to sink a lot of Love & Money in it to even be competitive.

Well, can’t help you with the traffic lights, but the 100km/h thing is pretty par for the course in Ontario as well. Good luck actually getting up to speed anywhere near Toronto, though.

Is it wrong that I want to get one of these just so I can put different Corolla tail lights on it?

Either that was a long time ago, or you drive incredibly slow over there. For the last decade(?) or so, trucks are supposed to have been electronically limited to 105km/h. If you come back and visit... Well, don’t drive. The 400 series are still terrible, and are not worth the stress.

I can’t believe I had to scroll this far down to find the S15 and early NSX.

But I already have two. Am I supposed to get another one now? How does this work?

Those crazy high roofs make it easier to install a lift?

I’m not saying it looks bad. It’s just that it doesn’t look particularly good. The rear is okay, but uninspiring. The front end with the smaller side vents kind of works, but the big vent front end feels too busy, much like the new CTR.

...kicking off a response from Toyota with an ugly new Corolla or Tundra...

It’s a good thing that Daihatsu isn’t going to sell these in the US then.

You want a Camry sized RWD car with that engine? Tell Toyota you want a Mark X.

Raph has the right idea. I’ll see a Hako rolling around every so often (there are at least two in town here), but I almost never see a Kenmeri of any kind.

Please refer to the Subaru car wash commercial.

Toyota sells a Camry sized RWD v6 sedan in other markets. They just seem to hate the North American buyer for some reason.

I think “two faced” may not be the term that you’re looking for. Might I suggest “win-win” instead?

Are you still running stock compression?
