Yeah, it’s the mods. Even if the main game is bland AF, there are tons of mods that improve/add to the gameplay, and enough narrative-focused questline mods which also add to it. Too bad FF doesn’t have a creation kit, at least that way fans can work on making the game less of a dumpster fire.
