It’ll be usable as a city car, but they better make it damn cheap. You can get a used e-Golf for a pretty decent price these days, and if it’s a second-gen (2017 or newer) it will equal or beat the Mini’s range.

Does this mean I have to stop making fun of GM for this?

I think the Beavers do (maybe half the fleet). The larger Otters are turboprops, so they run on jet fuel.

Dimming mirrors are a lifesaver. Even a manual switch is better than nothing.

They are simpler. There are hundreds of moving parts in a gas engine and only one in an electric motor.

The Model 3's cooling is designed to keep the battery healthy in normal street driving conditions, not at the track. Teslas can accelerate really fast but it’s sort of a party trick - they’re not meant to do it as often as is needed on the track.

Knowing Porsche, you’ll have to spend $100k for the badge, another $150k for a badge delete, and then if you actually do want it, another $250k for the badge un-delete to put it back.

Still more than retractable gear, though...

Looks like it was originally a white hood and was painted yellow at some point in its past (probably to match a yellow truck).

They’ve been doing that since 2012. Every EV except the Leaf has it now.

I think it’s actually $50k for the car and $100k for the Porsche badge. At least I hope so.

I have a 2012 Leaf, and the range is down to 50-ish miles this time of year. I do love the car, but damn, Nissan’s first gen batteries do not hold up over time the way almost everyone else’s batteries do.

200 miles is fine for the vast majority of people, but that’s not really the point. For a car that costs twice as much as a Tesla, it should have at least as much range.

I follow him too. Always thought his ultralights looked a little sketchy (and he did get in trouble with the FAA at one point) but he seems to know what he’s doing.

I live in Victoria, BC, and see the Harbour Air planes coming in and out of the harbor every time I’m downtown. I’ve been on them a few times. It’s a nice way to travel, if a bit pricey.

Nah, spinach sucks too.

The best lettuce is iceberg because it has the least taste. It’s basically crunchy water. Good for filling out a skinny sandwich, but not much more.

Awesome, another good excuse not to eat lettuce!

Thank you! I could excuse it if people were just lazy typers leaving out punctuation, but actually adding it where it doesn’t belong rubs me the wrong way somehow.
