If the Scion’s still in good shape, there’s no good reason not to keep driving it. Electric cars are good, but so is getting as many miles as possible out of a car. It’ll give you a couple of years for EV technology to advance to the point where it meets your needs, so you won’t have to compromise with a PHEV.

It’s also possible that they taped over part of it under the camo just to fuck with us.

Prequels: awful.

Well, you’re entitled to your (wrong) opinion.

I don’t think it should be considered any more of a gimmick than an all-male team (which most teams are).

I still don’t like NASCAR as a sport, but there’s no doubt that it’s helped safety technology in cars advance a great deal, both in racing and production vehicles.

Precisely.

Says the guy who recently posted “Torch is the cancer of this site. Once he leaves, it will improve. Nothing worse than when he hotboxes himself inside his VW with a keyboard in his lap.”

Alright, fair enough. Maybe I was generalizing too much. This thread is the first time I’ve been aware that there were any liberal NASCAR fans out there, since the drivers and officials are overwhelmingly Republican and the whole culture seems very rednecky to me (and I say that as someone who grew up in a small rural

Because I like cars. NASCAR isn’t all of car culture.

I was willing to reconsider my opinions until I got to “I would expect a Ford fan to be a simpleton”. I appreciate your effort to take the high road, but dismissing all fans of a given brand as simpletons is almost exactly the same thing you’re accusing me of. (Unless that was your point and I’m just missing the

I see you missed out on this:

“Where am I going to find another vehicle like that?”

NASCAR fans tend to be the sort of people who think anyone with brown skin is evil and “Muslim”, that Trump is Jesus and that all problems can be solved with an AR-15. They would probably love to watch flaming wrecks on the highway.

I have two (possibly unpopular) opinions on this:

I’m in the same boat. JW wasn’t a brilliant movie by any means, but it wasn’t nearly bad enough to actively dislike, and I consider it the second best of the whole franchise (the original being first, obviously).

Pretty sure that’s Grootist.

Probably. 99% isopropyl alcohol might also work. But, as Kristen said in another comment, it’s a matter of principle - it shouldn’t be this way in the first place on a car this expensive.

Nope... you can’t. You can also change the volume with the steering wheel buttons, so the volume could be at any level and the position of the knob tells you nothing. It’s one of those stupid knobs that just spins forever, not a proper one with endpoints.

It isn’t, though, because you can also change the volume with the steering wheel buttons. The position of the knob and the actual volume setting have no correlation whatsoever.
