The Bloomberg article is excellent. Car people tend to idolize Shelby as some sort of racing god, but as an actual person, he was pretty crappy sometimes, as were most of the other men in charge (and they were almost all men).

Hammond and May are both still funny, intelligent and entertaining. Clarkson is not. Just because someone makes a living with car humor doesn’t mean they have to become what Clarkson has.

He has a long way to go. For me personally, I don’t think he can be redeemed at this point.
