@FlyingAvocado: Shhhh you. Don't bring your logic in here.

@Lanbeast: Being capable of doing something is not the same as capable of doing something well. I could probably build you a coffee table, but you'd invariably be better off hiring a carpenter.

@TXcharm318: In this case I'm having trouble seeing the middle path. You're getting on this video's case for informing women about how to minimize their risks because disseminating that information somehow equates to victim blaming.

As a counterpoint, "Bending" in "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is basically a form of magic and they still retain the WOW factor when you see it. Basic bending techniques are pretty routine, and people react to it kind of like when people around the office react when I create a macro in Excel. It's not something they

@BlueLightRosie: I think you can make a "Legend of the Seeker" drinking game where you take a shot every time Zed says "POWERFUL MAGIC!"

@TemporalSword: "Denature" just means to change something's essential nature. It's not an oxymoron because the whole point of magic is that it's not routine. When you make it just another everyday thing it changes its nature from being "magical" to being like turning the light switch.

@pagan_god: Well sadly we'd see a lot more Blu-Ray support if Sony wasn’t so stingy about the licensing. I’m afraid this is just something we’re going to have to learn to accept.

@sugardeath: And none of those other devices play Blu-Ray?

What exactly would be the point of an external blu-ray drive? An internal blu-ray drive I can see. But wouldn't you get the same functionality of an external blu-ray drive with. . . a standalone blu-ray player? I'm just not seeing much of an upside to the feature.

@TXcharm318: So the alternative is to NOT tell women what they can do to mitigate their risk? Talk about biting your nose to spite your face.

@lilybea: The rapist’s role isn’t ignored. When you’re working on reducing exposure to risk it’s generally better advice to focus on the things you can control versus the things you can’t. You can control how vulnerable you are to the predations of assholes. Your ability to control the fact that there are assholes is

@Bedlam: Bioware understood this. Mass Effect's cutscenes keep you in the game. It works well. The only times you really get pre-rendered is when you have the Normandy moving around in a space battle or for swooping into cities.

Those rugs, like, really tie the room together man.

@TactakillChewy: It's also more environmentally friendly as the low surface-area-to-volume ratio from arranging rooms linearly reduces the rate at which the building radiates and absorbs heat.

@einsteinisdead: Carrion birds are the traditional Zoroastrian burial method.

Traditionally, way back in the day, Parsees would practice sky burial. Basically leaving their dead exposed atop towering ziggurats for the carrion.

@TactakillChewy: Is there a link somewhere with an actual image of it? Because how can you tell it's coldness from a black and white floor-plan?

@ThePr1nce: I certainly wouldn't. Mansions made sense back in the days when you had a bunch of servants running around and the fabulously wealthy were socially obligated to entertain bunches of people for various reasons.
