@tackett: $9 a month for one disc + streaming vs. $7 a month for no disc + pay per rental would actually work out fine for me. I don't rent movies every month. So I'd probably end up saving an average of $1 to $1.50 per month over the course of a year.

@corpore-metal: It wasn't that Clippy did his job imperfectly. Clippy never did his job. He just annoyed you while you're trying to do yours.

@Magnakai Haaskivi: People don't always actually know what their own motivations are though. Often people will give you more acceptable sounding rationalizations for their actions than what they were really thinking at the time.

Miyamoto all the way across the screen.

Will I also be able to pay-per-rental of DVDs as well? Netflix has a really good library of foreign films, but I don't have enough time to watch enough movies to justify the subscription fee to myself. If I could pay by the movie in addition to unlimited streaming I would be much more inclined.

@OGHowie: All they need for streaming is licensing the movies, hosting, and server space. Unless the licensing fees are really high (which they shouldn't be since most of the movies are old, low-budget schlock) it must be cheaper.

I don't understand these concerns. If you're worried about love of fetishizing the activity replacing love of the activity. . . just stop doing it?

@KiddyKat: Her live-in boyfriend?

@paperispatient: You know how forests that don’t have a small fire burn through them every now and then just build up more and more dry tinder until one fine day an otherwise innocuous spark sets off a titanic conflagration?

@3in1Doctor: There is nowhere for people to live. Florida has no economy. Now that the housing boom busted there are whole towns full of tract housing being depopulated. I think the habitat destruction stops there.

@GrungyMunchy: Yea. Reviews tend to be kind of subjective.

He's overthinking it. Replayability means the game is fun to play more than once. Non-replayability means the game is not very fun after the first time.

@St. Fu: No. The woodiness of the drink is the taste appeal for good whiskeys. If you're drinking Jack Daniels or something you might like the burning, but I never got the appeal.

@IndustrialJones: I like drinking my chai tea out of a mug cup on a chair seat at my kitchen mesa table.

@FriarNurgle: A lot of people make it wrong by just dumping table sugar into cold water. That will give you loads of excess sugar in the tea. If you put table sugar in steeped hot water and THEN chill it before adding the ice it will be just as sweet but without as much sugar. This is because sucrose (table sugar)

@iheartsoda: No dude. Welfare state is a pretty well understood term. Welfare queen is a loaded term. The proper, academic jargon cannot be loaded.

@diesel828: Not everyone drinks with the expectation of getting fucked up as fast as possible.
