Can you name for me any Japanese studios that consistently put out great games not involving obnoxious cutscenes, repetitive grinding, and/or fanservice/otaku-bait all while not being named Nintendo or Capcom? @Ueziel: Actually I really don't like most Japanese games. It's not that I have narrow taste in games. Rather, I have very broad tastes. But even my broad tastes stop somewhere at the border of having to watch my bifauxnen avatar go from grind to grind only to be rewarded with insipid cutscenes.

Well. Calls, texts, e-mail and mapping would be enough for me. Other apps are just toys and not especially necessary.

@jibbly: Having studied multiple forms of hand-to-hand combat and having no weapons training at all, I'm probably more dangerous in a fight unarmed than I would be if I had a knife or a blade in my hands. I'd be just as likely to hurt myself with the latter.
