Wow

Yes! Like this White person in front of me just brought a shit load of shit at H&M and the clerk basically let then walk out of there. But my black ass gets asked for ID, Birth Certificate, Student ID... everything. And people think we don't notice that.

Honestly they may not need to go as far as testimony. If she can prove that other workers had unnatural highlights (via pictures) while she wasn't allowed to do so, then she at least has a source of proof.

Not a lot of people are participating in this thread because they don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, lol

I think part of it for a good amount of people is that the content and overall theme is what leads people to believe that it's a more serious show than Scandal, which I understand. Yes in essence Homeland is about our nation's and the world's security complex since 9/11. Also I enjoyed and appreciated the discussion

My post had the same tone as yours. So no I'm not going to "calm my tits". And no I didn't overreact based on the content of your post, as I just matched your sarcasm with yours. But okay.

That's cool. I do agree that Homeland is not meant to be fun. But both of them are soapy as hell. Scandal has gotten better with storyline, especially at the end of season 2 and this current season. I enjoyed Homeland but the Carrie/Brody thing is just ugh. Like they could have been connected through other means than

I do think it has stereotypical content, but honestly I felt that the scene with Brody praying was what made homeland a great show at the time. It, to me, broke a lot of stereotypes about prayer and how we understand Muslims. I didn't notice the music.

Your understanding of racism is amazing. Just very amazing. If there is a White person as a terrorist, then it can't possibly be racist! So let's put all this stereotypical shit about Islam in it!

I watch and actually like Homeland. Just because I think it's soapy and overrated, it doesn't mean I don't like the show.

Scandal has the same shit. I'm not denying the soapiness of Scandal, and when Homeland as the suspense tension moments together, it can be a really good show. But Scandal has the same shit. Everyone is morally ambiguous and you can also see the building implications of their actions.

I don't think you watch Homeland.

Homeland was far superior for five episodes. Brody and Carrie fucked in like episode five. I kinda lost it from there.

What's funny to me is that people portray Homeland as this prestigious, compelling drama with great writing. I am aware that people are criticizing the show's 2nd season (and the current one). But seriously. Claire Danes's acting is great, but it has the same soapy ridiculous shit as people say Scandal has, and it's

I remember they got a very small amount of album points, which would obviously lead to very small returns. But I didn't know (which I learned in the movie) that they had to pay the record label AGAIN with the already shirty returns they received on a diamond album.

Man that was the best Behind the Music moment. It showed me how a lot of music artists (mostly the people of color tbh) get messed over in deals and make absolutely no money.

To add to your second point, physical attractiveness affects job prospects and promotions especially if you are a woman. If you're "ugly" and a woman if color you might as well be content because no job for you!

Honestly this is the first time I've heard of the ham rove thing. I still feel like the majority of criticism is based in his actions, not his looks. The Ham Rove dig is just an add on. Palin, on the other hand, and her criticism is subconsciously rooted in the fact that she looks and acts like a ditzy woman, that she

1) there's a lot of ugly dudes who get hella play, and a lot of them don't even have money.
