This was my response to 2009 - fathers dying, jobs being lost, important relationships ending. I wanted 2009 to go fuck itself with a tree trunk.

I've had the same experience with the Revlon lip stains - they released another version of the product a couple years ago as well - and I also gave the Cover Girl line a try. They definitely work a bit better, but my problem was that the stains are significantly darker than I expected. It could just be that I'm very

@Island of Misfit Toys: Yeah, but SPN fans are insane and voted really aggressively. Even the actors were joking that they could probably mobilize their fans to rob banks for them, they're that intense. I say this with fondness, since I, too, watch the show, but I don't even think Buffy fans were that crazed, back in

What an exciting project! I hope they don't manage to fuck it up too horribly. We definitely need a strong, female lead-driven show that is dark and edgy and fun, that is also handled well and with sensitivity.

Amazing. Long overdue, but amazing.

@skywalker993: It was sort of an afterthought... I had to remind myself that life isn't actually a comic book. ;)

I don't know if it's just me, but portrait cards kind of freak me out. Unless they're the kind drawn by a 4-year-old.

This just made my day. It seems like I've been excitedly awaiting this movie forever.

Tron was a lot more beautiful to look at than it's given credit for here, but I do agree that it was lacking in "joy" - the first comment I made upon exiting the theatre was that it wasn't at all humourous in the way I expected. Aside from Michael Sheen, the funniest thing about the movie was the fact that Jeff

I think #1 and #3 are probably my favourites - they're the most 'authentic'-looking.

I applaud La Senza's use of models of various body shapes and sizes in this commercial (though otherwise I do find it creepy), but to be honest this is the first acknowledgement I've seen from the company that women other than straight sizes exist. Their other marketing campaigns are VS rip-offs (which makes sense

@olgov: Yeah, both my best friend and I were yelling at Olivia to chill the fuck out during that episode. She was being a bit of a weenie, although Peter's dumbstruck expression during that whole scene was a pretty accurate guy response, I'd say. :P

Uh, forget Buffy. I'm pretty sure this all happened already in an episode of Alias, right down to the female lead snarking that her love interest should have waited/differentiated between genetic twins/etc. It's also considerably closer to home, considering the JAbrams connection.

Woohaa!

Nick Cannon needs to get him some bell hooks. She's got a couple essays that discuss that exact subject much more brilliantly than anyone else he could hope to reach on Twitter.

A lot of these statements made me proud that there are such fair-minded, level-headed individuals serving in the American armed forces; but then all the other ones just made me want to throw up in my mouth and thank fuck for living in Canada.

@glarblargle: That's okay, 6 people already beat you to it. :P

Does anyone know what Antichrist was rated when it got released in American theatres? It was 'R' in Canada, but regardless of whether it was given a lesser or the same rating as Blue Valentine, I fail to see how the sex scenes described could be on par with genital mutilation in terms of graphicness or shock value.
