He’s complained about multiculturalism in London, used the n word and claimed there was no racism in the UK (there’s plenty). His presence in this film is unfortunate.

How have I never heard of this hilarious looking film?

I finally got round to watching this lovely, subtle, funny show over the weekend. Bill and Felicia are perfect.

Reading this comment thread in the midst of the Weinstein revelations is depressing.

Completely agree. The jokes came across as the gentle roasting of a friend who has a bit of a nudge-nudge wink-wink reputation with the ladies. There was no anger, bite, condemnation or sense that Corden really gave a fuck.

Weinstein, Trump, Cosby, Clinton and O’Reilly are all ‘fellow parents’ and all have daughters. This doesn’t seem to have conferred any special empathy for women or antipathy for sexual assault on them.

That Kurt Cobain statue looks nothing like Elias Koteas, but I’m grateful to be reminded of Elias Koteas who I haven’t thought of in a while. Maybe someone should make a statue of him.

That video stressed me all the way out.

What was up with Claire and Matt? Did the actors have a falling out or something? Their chemistry was the most compelling thing (to me) about DD1 so it’s super weird that the characters didn’t share a moment on Defenders.

I agree. I nearly skipped it completely, but ended up watching it last week based on recommendations on the old site - and I didn’t hate it. In fact I really dug the Ward storyline, even if the rest of the show was a little weak. I’m glad my expectations were low going in though.

We are, but we want it with British accents.

    With what?

What’s this getting out of the grey business people are talking about? I feel like I’ve suddenly turned 80. What’s happening?

    This weird

I'm black/mixed race so I think he was trying to get a rise out of me. And I was young and curious/naive enough to entertain his nonsense for longer than I should have. The point being, if I'm going on a date with a Nazi, I'd appreciate some advance warning. I'm here for the ban.

How honest are they in their profiles about their Nazi leanings though? I once found myself on a date with a self-confessed ''ex'' racist from Sweden, who spent the evening regaling me with misty-eyed memories of his racist rabble-rousing. It was…disturbing.

Thanks folks! I think I'll combine your advice and watch ep.1, then come back here to read Grampton and Grizzly's spoilers and skip the remaining episodes. I loved all the other Defenders series but IF doesn't appeal at all. My completist tendencies once forced me to sit - grim and joylessly - through the entire

Does one need to watch Iron First? If so, can one of you kind strangers please recommend a key episode or two so that I can get caught up without having to sit through the whole thing?

Just got through the final couple of episodes of season 3. In the enduring words of George W. Bush: 'That was some weird shit.'

    Harsh, but true.
