Unfortunately, I’m already at maximum hedonist in terms of food quality - it’s just a fact that nothing amps up a good truffle pecorino like a glass of sangiovese. The cheese is still good on its own, but it’s hard to live with the knowledge that I could make it even better.

Seriously. I sought her advice out and will follow her. Elle’s loss - who’s going to follow her wit and wisdom?

I used to be a heavy drinker, then I stopped completely for a year, then re-introduced alcohol on a very limited basis. Now I’ll have a drink or two every few months, and I’ll get drunk maybe twice a year. I’ve noticed that I feel the effects of one cocktail or glass of wine way more than I used to. But my tolerance

People’s reaction to my sobriety (507days!) have ranged from being nosey to being downright pissed off about it. Like I cant stop drinking if I’m not an alcoholic or haven’t hit rock bottom. But remember, people’s reaction to your sobriety is 100% about their relationship with alcohol, not yours.

It happens. I am not a big booze and wine drinker, it was beer. I just got tired of beer for the most part and quit. Morning afters were a small part but I would feel like crap the next morning after 2 or 3 beers at happy hour the evening before. I decided to quit for a while and it ended up a year no problem, for me.

I did the same thing. No biggie. Not sure what all the fuss is about, to be honest.

I limit my drinking because I can no longer deal with hangovers.

I should quit drinking. Not because I drink too much, I almost never drink, but because after having a baby I’m such a lightweight that even one glass of wine gives me a hangover. I can’t hang with the cool kids anymore without wanting to die the next day.

They’re still paying her for the 5 remaining columns in her contract. So it would have cost them the same to let her write those and then leave. Why make her leave now?

And what did those transcendent beings from Woodstock do when it was over, but return to their insular race and class-based worlds, the direct antithesis of what they claimed to stand for? What meaningful social change came from the doings at Woodstock? How did that same generation become the most cynically

So by virtue of the fact that we’re having this conversation, I can count on your support for my platform. You don’t have to know what my platform is; we’re partners! We’re all partners! It’s about being friends with strangers! It’s about Woodstock!

Fuck Elle magazine. E. Jean was one of the best things about it. Glad I no longer read it.

The thing is, I kinda do blame Elle.

“ABC News notes that they “only remembered welcoming Buttigieg’s campaign as customers.” Oops!”

E. Jean has always been the primary reason I pick up Elle.

I hope she finds work online because who the f*(ck is reading Elle anymore?

our campaign has proudly partnered with local businesses

Thank you for reporting on this. Ask E. Jean was always a hilarious romp. I once questioned her advice to someone and she and I had a weeks-long dialogue as to the situation (which I believed might be risky to the querent). She was thoughtful and extremely concerned: not merely witty but truly wishing to do the right

So Elle stands with accused rapists over their victims? Good to know...

By looking the other way and acting as though these serious allegations are a totally normal thing is precisely how predators get away with all the shit they do.
