Did you read the title and like I did, think this was going to be about someone who literally hires them out, much in the way of a prostitute, for friend-like activities with famous people who are too dysfunctional to make actual friends? Because I was really expecting an actual "friend-for-hire" type deal, not

Because to read makes speaking English good. :-D, ;-)

OMG! YOU'VE BEEN TO OBERAMERGAU!! I went there one year for the Passion Play! My Christian grandmother took me as a deal that if I could watch the Passion Play and not believe in Jesus as Savior after, she'd leave my immortal soul alone. I went, I saw, I was hella impressed by the citizens of the town, but sadly for

You're allowed to disagree. Having lived in multiple cities within my home country, as well as a few cities in other countries in which I have had no family as well as cities not my home city in which I have had family, I have come to the conclusion that having family available, even if the relationship isn't stellar,

That would actually make a lot of sense.

I was thinking that too! She had some great phrasing. I bet she was a teacher.

And I didn't say "strange" I just said "alone in the country".

I mean family-wise. I highly doubt she has family there, which even with friends and colleagues, would make her appear more vulnerable than someone with family around her.

You'd be in good company- apparently Rebecca Rose and the rest of the staffers at Jez thought the same as you!

I'm wondering if it is someone who had it out for the boyfriend. Or someone who just gets off on scaring people and decided that a foreigner alone in the country made the most suitable target. Friggin weird. And frightening. I hope she is able to get to a safe location and that the loons get found!

That's hilarious!

That, and try explaining to the prof that you really are only using the voice recorder- as the silent text message comes through. *head/desk/repeat* Technology that has only one function is not without purpose in today's multi-functioning world!

Right? What lead up to this? Is she the only one getting trolled? If so, why was she singled out? I'm getting that feeling I get when I open the book to the middle or start a series in the middle. What came before all this!?

I am of the opinion that women who generally refuse to give other women the time of day are to be held in compassion because clearly there is something about being female that they deem unworthy- and given that they are female, that means there is something about themselves they deem unworthy. It's sad, really. But

Right? The only time my parents did my laundry once I hit junior high was when I was sick. Except the first time I came home from college with a bag of dirties. My mom did my laundry then with the firm announcement that "you get one." HA! Love that woman.

My almost-SIL, who is well into her 30s is one of those women. "Women are too melodramatic for me! Men are just so much more honest." *head/desk* So dodged a bullet with that broken engagement. For more reasons than just the unpleasant SIL.

I have cousins who have been married for over twenty-five years- and they live three doors down from each other. When people criticize them for not living together, my response is always, "So please, tell me all about your marriage that lasted only five years and how much better that was." :-) Find what works for you

I was never a Franco fan, but your post made me LOL, so thank you.

Right? I bet someone got beaten up a /lot/ as a kid. What parent does that to their kid?

I am PMSing so hard core today- I was doing okay on holding back the tears until I read this. Let the waterworks commence!
