Hmmm so on the scale of fetishes, I find this one humanizing, based on kindness and acts of love. Seems nice if that’s what folks need in their lives, lucky they found each other.

Between Gingrich, Giuliani and Christie. trump sure has done a good job breaking some top level republicans.

This Victoria’s Secret Angels outtake photo is one way to respond, but I don’t know if it’s quite right.
and / or i just have some weird hormonal shit going on, i have been irrationally emotional lately. so maybe it’s just that...
I don’t think the original trailers for the original show lived up to the quality of the original show. (Seriously Youtube them). So I have no problems with this.
For me, the biggest selling point was Kelly Bishop. She’s a goddamned national treasure and watching her figure out what Emily’s life is going to be without Richard is going to destroy my soul in the most beautiful way possible.
i also just cried a little watching it, not so much because i thought it was good, per se, but because of that thing that happens with certain tv shows - the office and parks and rec come to mind - where you start to feel a familiar, emotional connection to the people and places and stuff. like gilmore girls, even the…
I don’t think that the trailer itself lived up to the quality of the original FULL episodes--but I think if you did a trailer based on the original episodes, it wouldn’t either! It seemed to slightly be a caricature of the original show. BUT, that’s pretty normal for trailers, especially when they want to quickly…
Ditto. And I laughed way too hard at Emily’s ‘it doesn’t give me joy’.
Agreed. This looks equally awful in a really delightful way. Delightfully awful.
I know! They struck a very good balance of having that sad part in there, to acknowledge what happened, but also the hilarious giant portrait - because for all of her obsession with etiquette and keeping up appearances, that is a ridiculous thing that Emily 100% would have done.
Me too! I almost cried at my desk. I’ve been worried that this was going to be terrible, but everything in the trailer looks so great.
Disagree. I think that Gilmore Girls has a very good reason for coming back, because of the awful last season and the fact that they did not know, when filming it, that the last episode was actually going to be the last. Lorelai is annoying, sure, but she’s supposed to be - the character is flawed and actually not the…
The original was kinda awful. But in a good way.
I’m beyond excited and legit teared up while watching the preview.
Okay, but the fact that you don’t like her schtick and don’t want to be her friend is germane to any discussion of whether she is a good choice to play Zelda Fitzgerald.
“[I] want movies with new and interesting storylines rather than the same ol’ tragic white woman story.”
True, everyone is entitled to their opinion, just as everyone is entitled to their opinion about other people’s opinions.
Every type of movie has been done a million times over. It’s not like this film is being made to the exclusion of other projects.
